I have been playing on pokerstars for years. I have not been able play for a month due to geolocation issues. I find it really hard to adapt to another site. Yes it takes a little bit to get used to the sounds and the blind structures, and maybe even different players.

However, my issue is visually I find it really hard to adapt. On PS I will often multi table 3-4 at a time. When the action on a new table pops up I can see the sequence of betting in less than a second. I can see who opened who called/raised/folded, etc, and then I can make a decision. I have been playing on ACR and I find it much more difficult. I find myself studying the board and can't figure out what the heck happened and maybe I will call thinking I called the blind and it turns out I just called a big raise. Or I will raise thinking I am opening and I just 3 bet. Am I the only one this happens too.
I have played with the colors and improved it just slightly, but it's still bad. I'm not gonna play there anymore because it takes an hour or more for a table to fill up anyway. Even in the middle of the night on PS it takes a few minutes at most.

New software will always take a bit of time getting used to, but it sounds like, it goes boyond that. Why not try a third site, if you dislike the software at ACR? There are other poker sites than just those two.

I prefer 888. I do not like PokerStars. All I like about PokerStars is our weekly and monthly freerolls.

Personally I despise pokerstars...they are greedy shysters. They really need to be taught a lesson

Even though I play in other rooms now pokerstars is still my number one room:)

First few years i played on party poker only, then i played only FTP, last 5 years or so i play only on PS. Took me some time to get used to FTP and i scored my biggest wins there. I believe, if full tilt poker would still be around, i had never played PS. I just never win there :) It feels like i've been forsaken not to win there and i'm really close to finally give up on poker :)

There's no doubt that PS is the most popular site out there, not so mush for their "generosity" towards their players though, but for their software and the huge traffic they've had for years now. Still, 888, GGpoker and ACR are great alternates along with partypoker where available. Getting used to any of those is not really the hardest thing in the world. After a couple of sessions, it'll feel just as comfortable as PS.

Yes, I prefer PokerStars. Mostly because of the convenience, as you mentioned. But maybe it's a habit developed over the years.

I find Pokerstars to be relatively easy to use. If I could get used to it, I'm sure I could do well elsewhere.

For me it used to be a good site, now at best it is average because it doesn't have the appeal it used to.

I can barely be bothered to play PokerStars after their graphics upgrade - a down grade for many such as myself.

I seriously have no idea what you are saying regarding ACR but at the moment few would argue that GG offers the richest experience.

I began playing on pokerstars, and can completely understand why players continue to play there. I left stars because they butchered their rakeback program, from giving up to 80% in rakeback at top levels, to where it is now...around 1-10%. But still some fantastic games on there.

Personally I prefer GGpoker, much weaker player pools, lots of crazy eastern country gamblers which is very nice. The evening MTT schedule is also full of small player pool tourneys with low variance and tons of fish which has kept me profitable.

Pokerstars is my favourite. But i do get a lot more bad beats on it than any other

Can confirm that all sites dish out the same amount of bad beats. No algorithm cares if you win or lose in poker, they have all that delicious RAKE.

First few years i played on Party poker only, then i played only FTP, last 5 years or so i play only on PS. Took me some time to get used to FTP and i scored my biggest wins there. I believe, if Full tilt poker would still be around, i had never played PS. One of the biggest things that people don't realize, while PS does have more tourneys are selection, they have massive player pools in tourneys, not blaming this for your downswing, as it might just be genuine. But a lot of people start doing better when they begin playing smaller field tourneys, less GTD prizepool, but less variance.

There is an adjustment period but it will never be like Pokerstars the ACR tables does not pop and does not have the same feel.

Betonline is closer to Pokerstars feel you can try that site. Here is a link to it if you don't already have an account.

I prefer smaller sites because the field is much better, poker stars end up being a lot of bingo

I like Pokerstars.

But the constant updates recently and the bugs.

Not so happy. 888 Poker is better atm.

No I do not play buy ins any more on Pokerstars for 7 months now due to them interfering with my transfer facility and deposit limits against my will when I did not request it.
These guys wanted 2k rake in a month off me to get $800 rakeback or nothing if fail!
The most outrageous site for lack of rewards as they set goals for you very high compared to other sites that always give more reasonable rewards in my opinion.
After chasing these goals and failing most months paying 12k+ rake easily in 2020 in the spins, grand tour sit and gos and tournaments they proceeded to ridicule me treat me like a degenerate that needed to be managed and told how I should spend my roll requesting an affordability review after I was down 5 or 6k there.
My grievance and inability to deposit and play smaller percentage 9% rake roughly in the mid stakes is documented in this thread.
You be the judge am I right to be annoyed or am I to sensitive with being told I can only play 12% rake in the micros?

Certainly the visual field causes a lot of change. If you play often, it won't be a problem in a while. If you do not play so often, you will almost always be uncomfortable.
