I have recently tought myself to play poker, and have done so with real cash. as my old man always said, nothing like learning a lesson with real money.

Anyway, my question to the forumites is this - has anyone ever withdrawn money from Titan Poker? If so, was it a hassle? How long did it take?

I enjoy playing the site, luv playing sit and go's, and want to continue playing there.

At the minute I've won about $5000 above the money I have deposited, and was all going swimmingly until I wanted to make a withdrawal (not the lot mind you).

The first version of my confirmation details was sent back to me saying they couldn't read it (these are scan of my details that you can blow up a thousand times - interesting they can host thousands of players online but can't seem to open a pdf file), and the second version, with scans you can read from the moon, is now getting towards a week, and emails to support even confirming they have received it go unanswered.

the online response i've got from the support was simply to wait until the staff have processed it.

well after a week i'm getting a little nervous!!!

Few forums, with their affiliations to basically most sites, have much information on these issues (although the rigged one thread is done to death) as if no-one will speak out - or is it just me??!!

Hoping somone can ease my nerves

I have withdrawn from Titan more than once without any difficulty. However, that is quite possibly because I have a neteller Premier account.

I have never experienced any difficulty or delay at any poker site while using that deposit/withdrawal method. The poker sites seem to accept it without question, because there is quite a lengthy and secure process involved in setting it up in the first place. In effect, you go through the pain of the ID-checking before you even get to the poker site. Still, at least you only do it once, however many sites you play at.

Titan are fussy about withdrawals/transfers/etc., but they are straight. Be patient and you will get there. The precautions are for your own good. You would not want them giving your money to just anyone, would you ?

thanks for the reply - that eases my nerves a little. In the rush to get going I used whatever was available, and since then i have started reading forums etc and wanting to learn more about the game.
But when I can seeing threads like site X is rigged, site Y stole my money, these guys can see my hole cards on site Z etc I started to wonder what I've gotten into!
BTW - LUV the game itself - can't wait to play in a live tourney

I deposited and withdrew from Titan with NETeller with no problems. Zero time in, one day out. $$%^&* the US for locking NETeller out!

update

Just updating on the latest. After sending all my information (at their request) and waiting a week, I inquired with their online support as to how it was all progressing.

Was told that withdrawals to visa were NOT allowed in my country (Australia). I asked why it wasn't on their list (some countries are) and they said it was managements discretion that mine wasn't.

They said i could use Clickand Buy, which i have looked into but isn't available in my country, so the only option to GET MY WINNINGS OUT OF TITAN POKER was to wait the near month for a cheque in the mail (at a cost of $35.00).
(at this point i had to bite my lip - don't want them cancelling my cheque!)

I find this absolutely ridiculous in this day and age. I bet on horses and sports for a living and most operators can transfer money overnight to a bank account.

So this is a warning to people signing up to TITAN POKER with the expectation of actually winning (like all things with me).

READ VERY CAREFULLY HOW U CAN GET MONEY OUT AGAIN

Had I have used Neteller and jumped through all their hoops first it perhaps wouldn't have been a problem. But they said because I didn't deposit money that way I couldn't withdraw it that way.

I now anxiously wait for the next month to see if they are fair dinkum about sending a cheque. Here's hoping.

further update:

requested a "bank draft express" (seemingly the only way to get some money out for me). supposed to take 5-7 days. It's now 10 days, and still waiting. they said they have issued a cheque, and i should just sit tight.

i reiterate to people signing up to not just titan but other sites - have an exit strategy before u sign up!!!!

it's easy to deposit money, no so to get it back.

yep. i signed up for titan poker, deposited about $50, got it up to about $150 and then couldnt get it out again. this being about 7 or 8 months ago. to my knowldge its probably still there. my advice is to avoid titan like the plague

Think this is probably a symptom of the kooky Australian online gambling laws.

If you have a look at the legislation, it's actually illegal for anyone to provide online gambling services to us - with the exception of sports / horse betting. So sports betting operators can transfer to your bank with impunity, but poker sites risk legal consequences if they offer the same service.

Reading between the lines, I figure the legislation means:

1. The TAB lobbied and said "We want to use the intertron to access our customers!"
2. The casinos and clubs lobbied and said "We don't want to lose revenue to online casinos!"
3. The government listened to both, then said "Calm down y'all, I think there's a way to make you both happy here."
