Now don't get it twisted I'm not here to claim Poker is rigged as I believe it isn't but this new cash out tool is causing a lot of controversy.

Many are claiming that they win most hands they are behind in when they cash out and lose more than usual when they are ahead and don't cash out.

I have stopped playing cash games so I don't have much of an opinion to give, but I'd love to hear from any who feel this is true. And obviously, from those who don't too.

I am mainly freeroll and micro player with around 25 to 30$ earned this way. I have never deposited or withdrawn any funds so i can not comment on this specific cases but during my normal play i have not noticed any trend different than pure variance.

many say and some argue that when withdrawing money from the poker room, they have a series of bad luck, a downstrike, and they don’t withdraw money until the last, for this reason they’re afraid that after the withdrawal they won’t be able to make money with poker, but there are people who say that when make money in poker then they all add up and they win.
I believe that this is just a coincidence, the more poker hands can be checked through the Hold'em manager program and there and at a lesser distance you will notice that everything is in order.

I find any correlation highly unlikely, and people are trying to find reasons for them making mistakes on the tables lol

Are referring to the option of cashing out once you go all in. I like it regardless of percentage. If I am up against AA or just plain dominated I take it. I have only taken it 2 or 3 times, when I am ahead I do not take it. I think I have won 80% of the time. As far as poker online being rigged, I believe it is but you will never be able to prove it, so I just let it go and enjoy playing.

Many are claiming that they win most hands they are behind in when they cash out and lose more than usual when they are ahead and don't cash out.

My day was so bad today that I am definitely on the edge of starting to believe this conspiracy theory :( I lost so many times when I was ahead and resumed but when my opponent cashed out. I have straight, my opponent hits a full house. I have two pairs, my opponent gets better two pairs (this happened more than once). I have a better overpair, my opponent hits set etc. All today, all on river and all when I resumed but my opponent cashed out after being behind me.

One thing that would actually support this theory is that when all that happens, it's the house that wins the money instead of players. And I know, I know... It's probably just variance but like I said, that happened so many times today that I just can't help but wonder. I'm actually thinking that tomorrow I will write down every all-in situation and take a closer look on this subject :hmmmm:

Maybe players do change the decision making when they win some. Honestly, nobody can claim to be 100% objective there is always some bias behind decisions.

In my opinion, falsification is unlikely, at least on popular sites such as pokerstars. In my opinion, such manipulations are not in their interest. I think these are just random isolated cases.

I am new to pokerstars and I must say this feature is suspicious.

I was against 2 other people with a 7% chance to win and when I cashed out I won and pokerstars kept the $12 pot. Fine. It happens.

Then I was up against a guy all in. He had a 9% chance of winning. He cashed out. He won. Pokerstars kept the money.

Then again I was up against 2 people and the guy had a 5% chance to win. He cashed out and he won. Pokerstars kept the pot.

All 3 times were river...

This is within 3 days and has happened EVERY SINGLE time....Pretty shitty thing to do...

Interesting. I'am learning about this feature from this thread, since I haven't played cash games in a long time.

Usually, the house doesn't care about the outcome of the all-in clashes, because one player's loss results in another player's win. Which one of the players is the winner, is of no direct concern to them. They only care about the rake. With this feature, though, they are directly involved in the hand, by wagering their own money in place of the player cashing out. Suddenly, manipulation of the draw makes sense, because they can rig it in their favor directly. I still don't think they'll be so greedy and foolish to give themselves an unfair advantage in this situation. They risk their reputation and more, if someone finds out, and considering all the hand trackers around, it won't be long before they get caught. More importantly—they don't really need to do it. It's not even a break-even situation for them. Similarly to video poker, they have an edge. It's this 1% fee. Seems legit to me.

This to me sounds more like a conspiracy theory and players being upset.
The cash out feature is exactly what it is, a cashing out based on the percentage of equity you have when there is an all-in.
I personally don't see the point of cashing out and I don't use it, if you are ahead in equity you will win most of the all in's.

I have never made a withdrawal or deposit on poker star. That must be why the variance does not give me a gift in the big events in which I participate.

Truly , I have never heard that before . I have heard accusations that the house uses it's own bots or that the software gives rigged/not good results(according to odds on the long run ) , basically on the river ... But not this kind of accusations .... Also , it seems to me very naive to believe that PS or other room is manipulating pots and results in that particular way (depending on whether you are depositing or withdrawing money ) ;)

Probably it is just coincidence, there is some scandals in the Poker story but probably you will not have theses issues if you are playing in the famous sites.

I doubt but I noticed when I start to play some new tourney (or after long break the same tourney) I always show the best result that I can't repeat no matter how hard or many I try. I easily reached final tables (no matter: with 1400 or 10000 players) but then impossible to reach even top 100.
I thought they let you win and force to play this tourny again.

Until I collect the normal amount, I do not conclude, otherwise, after withdrawing money, I begin a series of failures.I may be wrong, but I always notice this and it is a fact!

People are discussing at least four different things in this thread. OP needs to be a little more specific.

Cash game on Pokerstars has been unplayable for years, too much chaos at lower limits, impossible to make long-term profits! I have a similar opinion about Sit & go and Spin & go.I only play Tournaments in Pokerstars.

Good question. However i never withdrawn yet. I do beleive this kind of manipulation is possible. However may be not probable. If it is true and somebody prove it, would be the end of the entire bussiness.

Hi there.Well, since this new option in cash games was launched,I liked it..It is a helpful tool for cash players, specially if you are ahead in a specific hand, you win good money even if you lose the hand on the river..
