Playing at the poker room 888, I have already accumulated a large amount of boon money that needs to be won back in order for it to go to cash. But the poker room does not allow wagering these bonuses as long as you have your cash on your account. that is, do I need to either withdraw money, or lose all the cash? Right?

Yes, you are right. But keep in mind, that some bonuses may burn if you make a withdraw. You can check this on the bonus page, these types of bonuses have a special icon. Also I advise you not to abuse such schemes as hiding all your non-bonus balance by registering in tournaments and then unregistering.888 started banning players for such abuses

Thanks for the info! By the way, registration and then cancellation of tournaments is an interesting idea)))))) but I will take into account that this cannot be done. it turns out I need to withdraw money from the account, wager the bonuses (I have collected more than $ 200), and then return the cash back ...

On any site, the received bonuses in the form of cash must be wagered in the form of a cashback. For this reason alone, I never take cash bonuses. I take it only as tickets. By playing these bonuses, you can also spend your money. It all depends on your ability to play.

Cannot agree with you.Firstly, there are different types of bonuses.Regarding 888poker,we are talking now about Immidiate bonuses.By playing these bonuses, you are using only bonus money.Second, almost all types of bonuses is a good +EV for regular players,it is like an extra rakeback for you.

I agree with you. I just now realized that they can not be taken. I didn't know this before. Thank.

I interpreted the terms as that any bonus will be forfeit on withdrawal of funds. So they basically expect you to go broke.

There is a way to convert that bonus in real money- Say you have total $300 in account consisting of $100 bonus money and $200 real money.
Now just register a poker tourney with buyin around $200. It will use real money to register in a tourney.
After that use $100 bonus money to play a 2 player heads up game. If you win you will have around $180 consisting of $80 real money and $100 bonus money. So here you can deregister from the tourney and withdraw that $280 but you will forfeit $100 bonus.
You can again try above method till you loose your $100 bonus or clear it at sometime after playing lot of games.

That's it I am afraid. Total waste of time in my opinion.

I could not really believe it, when I read it, but seems like it might be true. Anyway it does not matter to me, because here in sweden the licensed poker sites like 888 or Stars are not even allowed to give bonuses except for a small sign up bonus. So for us it would be better, if this whole bonus thing was just junked, and the rake lowered across the board :)

Totally agree with your comments. They have a bonus now running that gives you 5% when you deposit $30 or more each day. BUT as said you have to go broke to get it and if you withdraw its gone.

Crap site in my opinion now they changed the bonus scheme + remember the rake at the micros for cash games is higher than pokerstars. Software sucks as well haha

True with the cash game rake, and I also prefer Stars for cash games and SnGs. I like the MTTs on 888 Poker though, and for this game format they have lower rake than Stars. I have no problems with their software apart from the poker client occationally crashing, when I lose my internet for a few seconds. But it rarely takes me more than a minute, because I am back on, so its no major deal.

To be honest I have never bothered with bonus on any site because I don't play enough to have any hope of clearing it. I gave up on stars chests when they made the points requirement too high and since that happened I've played far less cash than I used to.

The only incentives that encourage me to deposit are tournament tickets or for casino 1x wagering. Otherwise I steer clear.

I think the bonuses are just an attempt to get new players to the site who probably either won't read the terms or don't actually know that there are play through requiements.

No, withdrawal bonuses are only partially canceled. Not all.

Yes, but they wrote above that poker rooms block people who do this. I myself have not come across this, I just convey words and opinions.

This is correct, but this is not how they will. It is not profitable for them)))

As far as casinos are concerned, I, for example, do not consider them at all. Winning at the casino is the same as trying to lift yourself by the hair))))

I haven't heard of anyone being blocked for tying up a cash balance to use a bonus and I figured out that loophole right from the beginning when they changed the bonus policy and have been doing it ever since.

I read through the new terms and conditions carefully, several times and there is nothing that prohibits doing it (I doubt it even occurred to them) so blocking or banning an account for doing something they don't actually state as prohibited would be pretty underhanded.
If they don't want people doing it all they have to do is update the terms and conditions again.

The bonus policy now is a joke, they offer all these different bonuses to entice you to deposit then you find out you can't use the bonus if you have any cash balance (which you probably do as you made a deposit to get the bonus.) as they use the cash first and you can't withdraw or transfer your cash as you will forfeit the bonus and only wagering bonus funds counts towards clearing the bonus so wagering using your cash balance doesn't count towards clearing the bonus.
Then there is the fact most casino bonuses have a 100x wagering requirement to clear bonuses, but that is weighted towards slots, if you play roulette or BJ it is 1000x.

That being said, by using that loophole I've managed to clear 3 casino bonuses and made some good money from bonuses that can be uses for poker without actually clearing those bonuses.

If 888 does happen to suspend accounts for using the loophole without changing the terms and conditions I'm ready for it, I have withdrawn everything and will keep making withdrawals every time I get my bankroll in the $30-$50 range, and no more deposits for me in the foreseeable future.;)

Just to show these bonuses can be cleared...

It's just that bonuses are not so important for poker rooms, as the amounts are not large. Probably so.

Do not like the new bonus policy. Have some bonus in my account for casino and sport, however I do need to withdraw first my money to play with it. So building a bankroll with bonus money is impossible....
