Anyone Get Weird Texts from Random Sites?

I always get random texts from sites citing random promotions. I have had a few saying "Thank you for making a deposit" and then a link to a website after it. I always just ignore as I assume these are probably a phishing scam, but I wonder if anyone else gets things like this. Also how did these sites get my phone number? I just got one CaszinoStars? wtf is CaszinoStars lol. Asking me to deposit for a free $10 with a sketchy link.

sure, loads of.
yes all of them are phishing attacks.
emails and phone numbers can be easily obtained when the user makes a mistake.
e.g

forgot to logout and just closed the website
hackers broke into your wifi
you got malware installed on your device
pw was easy to guess
tricked by phishing attack. merely clicking on a link makes the phishin attack a success
opening messages from "friends" and "family" on social media
even same pw for multiple accounts is a vulnerability
your account info may have gone out through a data leak (more uncommon than the examples listed above )

So you can see it's fairly easy for hackers to obtain your email. all it takes is on click most of the time

it's smart to have a separate computer for online poker only . no facebook links , no bank info , no email contacts, etc . oh, and if you have to deposit/cash out from a real money back account , open a small side one for poker transactions only.
