Any tips for 888poker interface?

Just gave 888poker a try and since I've only played pokerstars it obviously feels different.

So far I find the interface too much "arcady" if you will...

Just the timer animation makes me uncomfortable.

Any tips to make it less distracting? What to enable/disable?

I do not like the interface of this site. But I changed almost nothing in the settings. Although this site has the obvious advantage, it is the number of daily freerolls for players who have already deposited.

There is a registry file ( i used it and my antivirus didnt find anything) Originally posted on the PartyCaption 888Caption website that when added to the registry, would convert the 888 tables back to the old look. I no longer have this file and im not sure if its still available but its something you ladies and gentleman might want to do a google search for.

There is a box you can tick in settings to enable the old layout.

Will have to give it a try and see if it gets better.

haha well thats alot easier than what i typed above ^^. I used to hate the new layout but i uninstalled and reinstalled one day and played with it and just kept playing with the new layout.

I also moved from Stars to 888 around 4 month ago, and for me its mostly a question of adaptation. When I occationally go back to Stars, this is the interface, which feel awkward to me now, because I gotten used to 888. I actually kind of prefer the tables at 888 over those at Stars, but the lobby at 888 is terrible.

888 boots me out everynow and then of tourneys for no reason. I can join back but have lost too many hands because of this, therefor I stick to PS now.

Every different site is unsettling for players such as us, who are accustomed to a certain look and feel to the graphics and playing style...
I use black on black for my table graphics, so I can at least not get too distracted by the other bullshit...
What I do like 888 for is that when i fold my cards, i can still see them, rather than having to run my mouse over them to keep them visible...
It's a psychological hardship at best.

I took off that throwing function, some animation only, 4 colour deck, tried to make "same colour" tables thorough out the poker sites(3-4) , or you can revert back to old table designs

So far so good with the old layout.

Wanted to familiarize with everything by playing Play Money first but there's almost nobody playing 1/2 tables.

Still waiting for the 88$ promotion for new accounts so I don't wanna risk my money to become comfortable with it.

Will try the Canadian freeroll this weekend if time allows it.
