Americas Cardroom protecting Bots?

Been freerolling Americas Card room(AC) and taking winning to Micros but they are hiding the players until you enter the table. I find that is troublesome. If I see someone playing at many many tables I assume they may be a Bot. I have not been playing for about 10 years and I was hoping the critters were eliminated by now but ???

If AC is hiding players are they protecting the bots or may there be some other reason.

ACR went through an update and several improvements, I play practically every day and I don't know about this bot theory!

If they exist, they need to train more to make me stop earning hahaha

This player hiding is to prevent bum hunting. This has nothing to do with bots.

Also, bots have nothing to do with the poker rooms. Bot is a software that imitates a human and uses some advanced poker strategies. And ACR is fighting with bots. Alot of people confuse bots with superusers. Those are totally different things. And yeah don't worry about poker rooms cheating you with superusers. It's 2021 for god sake. They make enough money from rake.

It is not necessary to complicate. The game should bring you pleasure and not a headache. Try to play in our daily freerolls to begin with, and I'm sure it will give you back your self-confidence.

I don't see the correlation between the two factors you mentioned. Merge has done this for years with not showing players until the event started.

It is you're option to play, if it bothers you that much, try something else.

I'm not concerned with bots because they do their best to find them. Just recently we had a prompt to go to our lobby and click something to show we aren't a bot. But with that being said I did and do have a problem with the hiding of the players. I don't like not seeing who is sitting at the table simply because after I learn who the bullies are and the constant raising pre flop players are I try and avoid playing the same table. Now I have to sit and play the BB before I can see and if it is someone I don't play against I leave. Don't like being forced to play a hand to see. Just my thoughts on the hiding of the players......

I believe it's to protect the players aka us. Just a guess but maybe from targeting? It's mentioned in past updates. They've been really cracking down on bots & cheaters (using certain software programs) to even the playing field.

Apr 14, 2021 - Downtime (7am to 9am ET)

- Add mouse buttons to hotkey options
- Hide screennames at tables until a player pays the big blind
- Improved Sound Settings
- Increased security for apps running while the poker client is open
- Change table background for individual tables
- More bot/rta fighting tech improvements

It's NOT to protect bots, its so weaker players cannot be targeted by sharks.

They are trying to create a more-healthy environment for all players by randomizing table selection.

In the past, good players wouldn't play other good players, they only wanted to sit at tables with "fish".

This is VERY bad for the poker economy and I give much credit to ACR for trying to level the playing field.

I really thank you all for the input. I just found it frustrating to not be able to watch the action before sitting in. I used to make notes on players so I could try and sit in a comfortable position. Guess I am not so sophisticated as some I want to be downstream of the Sharks tho LOL.

They have done this to prevent hunting of newbies , to reduce the power of regs to kill the newbies. its good for health of poker

I don’t like that you can’t see who you are playing with. If you where at a casino the tables would not be closed and you could chose you opponents. Just take away the names and gone every plate a number for the seat and it will be settled.... and as stupid as ignition!!

Yesterday I played 3 freeroll tables at the same time, though it flew out very quickly, I never thought about whether there could be bots at the tables

I think it's complete bs you can't see who's at the table or observe before joining so I no longer play there...but I don't think it has anything to do with bots, not worried about bots either way👍

Gotta place some hidden brags and somehow try to find a quick way to get to platinum. U need to understand that!

I think sites are doing every thing they can to protect the fish.

Not showing lobbys, not allowing chat, eliminating formats with big winners, are just a few of the things I am seeing them do.

The next thing you know every site will end up like Ignition with no names on the players and 4 tables max.

Nagy's offering a reward to catch 1 cheater, when he can look in any lobby and see multi-entry cheaters in almost every MTT.
