I just started playing online on a site called AmericanCardsroom, my question is why the number of players is so small?

I think ACR is not really a world poker room. The great majority is of american players. While in pokerstars there are always thousands of Brazilian or Russian playing all the time, most of the players in ACR are from US.
Another factor is the Buy in costs there. As an example you can find spin and go's in Pokerstars starting at 0,25. In ACR the minimun buy in is 2,00 dólars.
But is a great room, I play there sometimes.

It has a decent player base, not too small at all.
It is experiencing a LOTS of software/connection problems recently but that is another issue. As far as player base goes, it has a good, solid player base. Lots of sites can't compare in this metric.

although in it I play only club freerolls and satellites
in this room many players conduct their streams on Twitch
there are always enough players at any rate

Idon't think its bad? to be honest smaller fields are better if you playing mtts, stars mtts at lower stakes your trying to get through a massive field. plus the rake at stars as well, its like you need to play 10x more games at stars to get the reward, and the gaurentee's waters down by the amount of entries, so smaller sites are better for mtts, I only play stars for sit n goes as I don't play high enough to get decent rake in stars mtts. rather play elsewhere have smaller fields and better rake. just my opinion.

I don’t think the number of players is so small, of course if you compare with Stars is small, but ACR still is a medium poker room. I imagine that they don’t have a bigger field because their players are mostly US players since they are one of the few rooms that accepts US players.

Hello. I have thought others were small and ACR was larger. I see how some responded thinking kind of the same. What do you thin?

One of the few rooms for USA. Having played Pokerstars, I can see what you are talking about with lower player fields. Go check out intertops if you want to see really limited selection!
