Hi all, didn't want to post in the "official ACR thread" because this is a question for the community and not necessarily a rep. I was wondering how many of you out there gamble with the other casino games offered in the ACR poker room, and hear about any success/fail stories out there.
For those who aren't familiar ACR offers ways to gamble for chances in multiple ways. For example after a game which you won, you can try to double up your winnings by picking red/black then drawing a card from the deck. I've tried that one in a micro-stake tourney and won my first/only time to double up my $1.89.
Another chance offered is to pay $0.01, $0.25, or $1.00 to spin a slot machine when you lose from a tourney that's still in late registration, if you hit trips on a spin you get re-entered into the tourney. I've given that machine plenty of spins but have never hit trips myself. Anyone ever have luck with these ones?

hi. Ok Imma ACR regular. I disbled the double or nothing crap. Thats just crazy..LOL But i did get sucked into the casino, and I requested a ban, which they are happy to help. As fas as the spin to get in..this is JUST my take on it. if I spin quarters and lose, I think it has a memory becuase Ill get in the next big buyin for practically nothing. If i spin pennies, to get in a 55 cent game, I may get into 3 in a row, for just a few cents. then I might spin 1.50 to get into one BUT if that happens, I get in 3 more..I think it averages out, but only spin pennies. Once I spent 375 bux in quarters..they are happy to send u a report of what you spin. So, yes features of gambling are offered, but ACR is happy to help you, if you have a problem.:) Gl on the felts christy

I have had decent results with these options, been about half and half. The spin to get in is definitely based on how much u use it, and how much u are spinning for in comparison to the buy in

I spun into a $21 buyin for 20 cents before. I also spin into the 55 cent ones usually get in cheaper for those. Got into an $88 game for 4 cents before. It varies but sometimes it works out. Its still just a gamble though.

Hiya Crisco and Christy! I'm pretty much on the same page with Christy and the added gambling incentives except I will on occasion select red or black if its a very small amount of win, lets say under 20 cents. You have less than a 50% chance of winning because they also add in two jokers to the red and black so anything over 20 cents I don't risk it.
With the spin to get in, I have used it a bunch and gotten in to many games with it but I only spin the pennies for lower buy-ins like $1 to $10. I've gotten in some for as low as 1 penny and other times I have given up and will usually do so if I reach 1/2 the buy-in. Quarters and dollars will eat up a small BR quick so I don't do those. It probably comes close to even but with the cashes I've had am well ahead. Hope this helps and GL on the tables!

That's crazy, can't believe how many of the replies have had decent results with the spin to re-enter. I literally haven't hit it a single time, although I've mostly only done the $0.01 spins, I've done plenty of them. The replies give me hope lol, I'll be testing my luck again in the near future.

I always avoid these as I am always too afraid that I will lose my winnings or waste my money trying to get cheap re-entry into tournaments.

I used to play at ACR but that was long ago; just too many issues with bots, hacking and disconnection during tournaments. I tried the spin a few times, never got an entrance.

I hate it when a poker room tries to make me play casino crap. Lately, more and more rooms try to involve you into casino games anyway. It sucks.

I agree, I the ONLY online gambling I do is exclusively Texas Holdem/Omaha. When these sites are flashing these opportunities in your face it makes me feel as if the site isn't as "legit". I don't mean that it makes them an illegitimate site, but it makes me feel as if they're trying to take all of their online player's money by constantly giving them more and more ways to lose it, especially when it's like these opportunities where when you lose, you lose your money to the house, and not another player. That's something that shouldn't exist in hold'em. Like... take your rake and my entrance fees, and leave me alone to let me play with other people, I don't want to play with you robot...

I stay away from all forms of "gaming". ACR specifically states that the spin to get in feature is negative -EV. If it was 0 EV which it should be then they could have a marketing success story on their hands.

I don't use those much, but I am probably even at the spin and about even with the red black. I only do the red black once in a while when it is a very small win. And I don't ever want to risk making a loss worse.

I disabled the black and red card crap after getting knocked out of a tournament or whatever, but for as often as I play on ACR, I've never seen this spin to get in feature.

So it's basically a loss. I've never won with it but was considering trying a bit more with peoples success stories. This re-fortifies the idea that's its just not worth it in the long run.

I've spun back in a number of times. never spend any more'n about 20 cents. seems like they let you back in to the cheaper $2.00 tourneys a lot more consistently than any other, I did get back in to a $5.00 event for just a few cents once.

funny thing is, when you do hit trips, you never see it. you're watching the cards pop up when you don't hit, but when you do, you never see it. it just takes you right to the game without ever even seeing one card. I have wasted an additional penny every time, cause you're hitting spin again before you realize that you've just won. (lol)

I see it because you can stop it mid spin as if you are playing a slot machine. I got into a 20 dollar buy in once off of some pennies. Other than that I haven't had much success even getting into lower buy ins. The funny thing is if you stop it on your own mid spin and hit trips, it's always JJJ
