I got a lifelong ban a couple of hours after I had created my account, had made a small deposit and had played a few microstake hands. "The reason" was "close association" with an user I hadn't heard of. Sounded like the player was from the same country as I. They curtly said "they had evidence of the relationship." I have done absolutely nothing unusual.

1) Can this be some sort of misunderstanding or bad luck or do they just straight up want to get rid of some percent of customers? Can I somehow fight on against those seems-like fools?

2) I would at least want to continue playing on other sites (I haven't created any other accounts yet) but can this somehow repeat (depends probably on what is the true reason they banned me), or I don't believe but do sites share this kind of information with each other? This is REALLY important because I don't wanna take the risk of being banned from every remotely legimate site.

Absolutely sickening to find out that the poker world is full of this kind of muck.

Welcome to the forum. I am sad to hear, this happened to you, but as you probably already figured out, they are suspecting you of multi-accounting, which is against the TOS of all poker sites. Why they suspect this is impossible to say without insider knowledge. Poker sites dont share "black lists", so it should be ok for you to open an account on another site.

I don't know what evidences that PS have, but they are a very serious site, so, probably they noted something wrong. You can try to prove that you were not doing anything wrong, but it's always difficult to reverse a ban. For the others poker rooms, you don't need to worry, you will be able to play on them.

I would write to the support and say it's not true and ask where you got this absurd info from. Just because you're from the same country doesn't mean you know each other. Another situation is when you both have the same IP address. But I would try to explain it calmly. I wish you every success

As others have said all all you can do is appeal it. Difficult if they are not willing to give you any of the details of this close association. There are some other good sites but that is the same as they are still probably the biggest.

Your case is very unfortunate since unfortunately they can monitor all the hands, In some cases the players protect each other, it must be said that they were aware of the hands they have and they favor each other Pokerstar monitor all the hands and you realize if any person is being complicit with another.

I've had an account with pokerstars for a long time, and one fine day I was playing, when out of nowhere a message appeared in the middle of the screen, that from that moment on my account was cancelled, they asked me to contact support to more information. I contacted them and they informed me that they were canceling my account for association with other players, they even emailed a relationship with several players. I sent them a reply email in my defense, reporting what happened and that I was amazed at such an accusation. So it didn't take long for them to reply, that the security area was verifying my account and that in the meantime I was supposed to send them copies of my documents and proof of address, all scanned, I sent them and they soon replied that I was all right, that it was a mistake and that they were going to release my account again, since then I have had no more problems so far. I contacted them at support@starsaccount.com. Hope this helps you in some way, and good luck at the tables.:)

welcome to CC, I believe your problem may be with the same computer ID, with more than one person playing, I don't know for sure, I only play online through PokerStars and I've never had any problems, maybe you trying another site have better luck

You should email support and ask nicely what would they need from you to show this is a misunderstanding. Do your best and cooperate with them and Im sure it will get sorted. Perhaps one of neighbors has an account too or a relative or someone in the area with same name , who knows?
On the positive side this is good that they are on the lookout for things like these.
Nonetheless Im sure it will all be sorted . Best of luck to you

Sounds like more to do with multiple accounts than close relationships. My guess is there saying close relationship as in you and another account are the same people. You may have created an account a long time ago. If you haven't I'd keep emailing there security department and keep on it. Very hard to over turn these just like a tinder ban lmaoooooooo

I am sorry to hear about this, especially because this is the market leader with the largest player volume.

I would not admit defeat so quickly and try to explain to support via email that there must be a misunderstanding.

I would offer to send them verification documents to get the accusation out of the way.

Maybe you're lucky and it was just a false alarm from the system, so they can manually unblock your account.

I would contact support and see if they will unban you if you can provide proof of who you are.

I hope this was your first time creating an account. Because if there were multi-accounts, that's a problem.
Continue to contact their support team. At least this is a chance that your case will be considered again.

if the not want you they not want you. every business in the world can refuse to take you as a customer if they are not feeling good about you.

i think they did their research and the result was that you are indeed associated with someone that is already banned or someone that is a risk for them. maybe you are not telling the whole truth here?

if you did tell the truth, you are not associated with any other player that is banned and you are free of any guilt i would try again and also maybe contact them on twitter and explain the whole situation over and over again.

good luck.

I'm being completely honest, again. This is exactly the thing that I find the most disgusting that they can apparently be like "We're not quite sure whether you cheated or not but screw you, confirming your identity and unbanning your account would cost us time and we have the right to choose our own customers!"

They haven't answered to my latest email where I asked for an identity confirmation. They said their decision was unappealable while hiding their alleged evidence, so is this normal for those bastards to simply refuse accepting any courteous objectives and, well, should I still do something?

They can also just ban you as a business decision if they don't like you playing on their site for any reason. Part of the package..
