Effective April 4/22, residents of Ontario, canada were no longer able to access their 888poker.com accounts and were required to move to 888poker.ca. Problem is the funds, tokens and play levels, did not transfer. 888poker.ca support have not helped so far, any advice.

WOW...... I am guessing all of that information will transfer over eventually. I bet they are SWAMPED with enquiries after a huge move like that. I just check my PS account and all is still there for now. I wonder if they will be doing the same??

you gues are lucky! in greece there is no ggpoker , 888, etc. only pokerstars

No 888 Poker club points, was playing level 19 now all gone, freerolls for depositors only, no cards chat free rolls. So far virtually no players, fewer than 100 players total for all tables. Wish I could still play on 888poker.com, it's a great site. 888poker.ca.on not so much.

I have to say im jealous! i had been waiting all week for my "verification" to be approved. Finally happened yesterday but still no funds transfer. Been contacting support to just get told too wait..

I emailed support they tranfered funds from old account to new one.. only thing is I was level 10 now im level 1 but i dont see any lvl 10 free rolls but anyways it took less than a day email the support

That is to be expected, since you are essentially playing on a whole new site. When I moved from Denmark to sweden, I had to open a whole new account on 888 Poker, and under swedish regulations no incentives are allowed. So I also lost all my accumulated point, I no longer get rakeback, and I can no longer play freerolls of any sort. Of course none of this is great, but we need to remember, that this is not the fault of 888 Poker. They are just following the laws of our respective countries. And if we find those laws stupid, its up to us to convince our governments to change the laws or vote for someone else at the next election.

You are correct. My issue is not with 888poker per se, it is with the fact that they were required to set up a unique site for Ontario residents only, and so far very little activity on most tables.

I've put all my "eggs" in 1 basket because of this "changeover",,,can't seem to get my account at 888.ca to work so i've be focused on Pokerstars,should of done this years ago,,,,have so much more "free" time now,,, TY 888!!! :wavey:

Yes the player pool in increasing .The 10k freeroll had around 600+ players .

The small stakes games in the night also get decent numbers of players

Most cash games are on 6 person tables, I prefer 9 person table, chance for better pots and fewer blinds.

Well that's it, between OLG and iGaming they have made 888poker.ca a waste of time. I'm back to PokerStars where they still play real poker.

Yep, seems like it impacts only Ontario players.

Additionally, the standards are slipping at 888. I think I am going to have to move on and find another place to play. It is bad enough that there are no ring games for Ontario players, but now I cannot even sign up for freerolls, they are demanding a deposit, despite the cash I already have in my account.

Not to mention the email I got from them...come on, guys - learn to spell and proofread before you fire these emails out, if you want to be taken seriously.
