I can't say anything about 888, I don't play there-but pokerstars is quite an acceptable developed platform for playing for every taste.You probably know that yourself.I only choose Pokerstars!

I got used to playing at 888poker and I am profitable in cash games and at pokerstars I profit close to 2%, I like the 888poker site, but there is a problem to withdraw your winnings which takes on average 4 or 5 days, more in software is just a matter of custom.

Pretty much this. I have played a lot of MTTs on 888 Poker, and I still think, its a great site for MTTs. Up to the 16,5$ level the rake is lower than on PokerStars, and the generally smaller fields reduce variance. 888 Poker have recently reduced the number of MTTs and made each one larger though, so the difference is not as big, as it used to be.

Recently I have been playing on PokerStars, mainly because I wanted to get more into SnGs. But I have also been playing some MTTs, and I have to say, that apart from the higher rake and sometimes overly large fields, PokerStars is a really good site for MTTs. There are far more games running, especially if you are a microstakes player, and the structures are generally very well thought out.

In top of that you can combine MTTs with some of the 18-180 man SnGs, which makes it even easier to get volume. As for the "toughness" of the games, I dont think, there are any major differences. On PokerStars the PKOs seem to be the most popular games among the recreational players, and as a result they are very soft up to at least the 4,4$ level.

Yeah I kind of agree with that. I understand the changes, they did on 888 Poker, and I think, they are going to be good for the site. The old MTT schedule was a bit of a mess with an endless number of different formats and no real logic to it. It was very obviously a case of adding layer by layer over many years.

However for me personally the many and generally small field tournaments suited me well. I think, after the changes it has become more difficult to get volume, and of course the larger fields mean more variance to overcome. They also removed those formats, which were an extra rake bargain like the 2,2 and 5,5$ R+As. Not that I blame them, but as a player it was obviously better to pay even less rake.

Finally I find it a little annoying, that you can not hide satellites from the 888 Poker lobby after the update. It makes it difficult to get an overview over, which regular MTTs are running or soon to come. This is done WAY better on PokerStars, where you can set a lot of different filters to see only those MTTs, you are interested in. So as for the playing experience I actually prefer PokerStars, and the only major drawback is the higher rake

I think 888poker is better for newbies. They offer a lot of freerolls and you can quickly build a starting bankroll.

Both of these sites deserve attention. I play on two of these sites, but mostly I prefer freerolls, so I like 888 more.
