888 Poker is currently promoting their SNAP = fast forward cash game tables. Every day has a specific hand, today it is AT, and if you win with that hand 4 times after the flop, you receive a lottery type price. You need to play 2c/5c or higher, the 1c/2c SNAP table does not take part in the promotion.

The most common price is a ticket for a daily 2.000$ SNAP freeroll, which run at 9.30 pm central European time. Last night it saw just over 500 participants, so even this low price has a value of around 4$. And you also have around 30% chance of winning a 15$ bonus or even higher prices.

I am not a huge fan of fast forward poker, but this deal is kind of to good to miss out on, if you are a 5-10NL cash game player, who perhaps currently play at another site. SNAP tables on 888 Poker are HUD free, but when you have cleared your daily bonus, HUD users can continue on the regular tables, where all the usual HUDs are working just fine, and your tracker will still collect your SNAP hands for later analysis.

Sorry for a dumb question. How did you calculate, that freeroll ticket is worth $4?

Price pool (2.000 $) / number of participants (500) = 4 $ per participant. Of course if more people react to the promotion and start playing these, the value will go down, so in a sense I am shooting myself in the foot by sharing this information.

However I am taking a more long term perspective, and I think, it is good for online players, if some of the smaller sites like 888 can catch up to pokerstars a bit, since it will give more competition. And it is also good, if promotions like this actually move traffic around between the poker sites, because otherwise there is no incentive for sites to make them.

if you're not a regular cash player, this is the best way to lose your money faster

Sure I dont recommend fast forward tables to people, who have never played cash games before. But if you are playing 5NL or 10NL at for instance PokerStars or partypoker, then why not use this promotion to give 888 a chance :)

ya, i think you'd have to play a long time to be even dealt that same hand 5 times, let alone win with it 5 times..
i gave it a shot, and regretted it once i realized that lol
good luck though :)

Not worth it when your EV against the field on Snap is minimized.

I think, it is. The promo has been running for a week now, and I have secured myself around 45$ of bonus and tournament tickets worth at least 20$ for playing around 7.000 hands on SNAP. I am not seeing that kind of winrate on regular 5NL or even 10NL tables :)

A non-paired hand like AK, KQ, JT etc. is dealt once every 52*51/(2*16) = 83 hands, so in theory you can clear the bonus in around 400 hands. In reality its more though, since the hand need to go postflop, AND you have to win it.

For me the average has been around 1.000 hands with some small adjustments like 3-betting less preflop but bluffing more postflop. If you 2-table SNAP, 1.000 hands is around 2 hours of play, so its doable even for part time players :)

I hit a $10 cash bonus on the spin which can be used for poker and casino and after getting the bonus up to $18 in the casino I've been using it to play $0.02/$0.05 SNAP.
I've been on an unreal run and cleared over $45 so far (my bankroll was under $5 after a recen withdrawal) and this morning I completed the Grand Hand (win 3x with A-Q).
I got my scratch card and was expecting a $2k freeroll ticket, which is what I got on my only other scratch card, but this time I hit the $100 cash!

Still working that bonus too.:D
