30 min timed tournament at BetOnline

Has anyone ever played in that strange $1 buy in NLH tournament at BOL? I was assuming I was playing in a normal tournament, until about half way in when i read the fine print, that it would end in 30 minutes... haha. Any thoughts on a strategy for such a tournament? Luckily for me I caught a couple decent hands early, ended up finishing second, but probably should have stepped out of my normal "rockish" gameplay for this format. Any thoughts?

I've seen it never played in it. If it ends in 30 minutes the only real strategy is to get in as many hands as possible. Pretty Much you're going to be in every hand or Lose out still holding chips. Seems like it could be an oddly Fun Headache. I've played in survivors at the casino but usually they will end after 2-3 hours not 30 minutes

I'm thinking ill probably try it again, and attempt to be a bit more aggressive and see what happens. Not much risk with that whopping $1 buy in

Hi.
I played similar poker tournaments on pokerstars. These tournaments lasted 15 minutes and were very fast. Honestly, I do not like such tournaments, because I prefer slower games.

It's almost the same as the one on pokerstars. The players with chips after 15min - 25min - 45min. Wins so much money after their chip count. So it's almost the same concept as stars.
Only this one is 30mins. BetOnline should add more bounty tournaments though, since i feel like they don't have many of those like stars or 888poker has, would be a nice change to add more games.
