Bro its really easy :D all u american poker players have to do, is set couple of senators and congress man and women cars on fire, that will get their attention, trust me :D, and just in case that doesnt do it, keep setting those cars on fire, till they UNDERSTAND they are not out of reach to the "ordinary people" let me put it as plain and simple as i can say it, THOSE C UNTS ARE NOT AFRAID OF YOU, SO THEY DO WHAT EVER THEY WANT(i should say, they are doing what ever makes them money or will make them money) once u put some fear in to them, see how fast things change :D coz i know gathering votes and signs, calling your representative will never work, coz of the reason stated above, and thats how u will have poker again in `merica "land of the free home of the brave" yeah right, that turned out to be a joke too :D

I see, set their cars on fire and make them fear you. How 'bout leaving a severed horse head in their bed? Are you from Italy? or maybe mexico.

From a country where we did exactly that, we burned the c unts car and he drop his proposal to tax the poker players in my country, i know is a bit rough approach to resolve a problem, but trust me those c unts understand nothing else, once they see the police cant protect them, they start changing their tune :D

The sad thing is most online players don't use casinos, but the maggots who own then don't get that.

That's false. A lot of them do casinos, but play online because they can't get to the casino.

I think it would take many years until online poker is legalized ang regulated in America , there are many obstacles right now , politicians still are not ready to decide and vote for a solution . I hear every now and then sth is happening on this state or on that state , and then ...nothing .the same story again and again .

I so much agree . why casinos have to intefere for online poker rooms/companies to operate on a state and they have to work together?...

Here in Greece ,things aren't good either:( ...

And while it's illegal in Washington state, why then do some poker sites let me play and some do not, like Poker Stars.

pokerstars, and then Full Tilt shortly after, pulled out of Washington State the day after the state supreme court ruled RCW 9.46.240 constitutional. Between enactment and this subsequent upholding, PokerStars continued serving WA players, banking on there being no enforcement while the law was being challenged. When that challenge failed, they folded up and left.

There are still sites that serve WA players for the simple reason that they can. They are out of reach of state authorities who aren't really going after them anyway. The legislature passed a ban, and turned a blind eye.

Last year we got a bill introduced to regulate the game, but it didn't get any support from players, operators, or the local card rooms. It's probably cost prohibitive in their eyes.

I have a new angle to pursue, seeking to join NJ's ring fenced market. It's a taller order but makes more sense. Hopefully we can draw some support and get a bill further in Olympia in 2017

I would gladly get involved in the fight to legalize online poker if I knew how or where to go to add my voice to the chorus. If any one knows how to go about joining in please tell me. I would greatly appreciate it. Government interaction is the least thing people really want. In past, people had some bitter experience with the management tactics handled by government.

Ugh another 5 years that wd really stink :( I know here in California they are always talking about it being very close to making some kind of deal with the Indian casinos. But even if we get some legalize poker then it would be restricted to just playing against other California players and not against a larger player pool I guess that is still very long way away:(

states can sell weapons, allow the sale of cigarette that is harmful to health , allow the sale of drinks with alcohol , but not allow the poker for fear of addiction ; is it because they have not directly profit from them ; no poker will never be legalized until they can tottaly control on line poker

There is the PPA (Poker Players Alliance) but they have approached this whole mess wrong IMHO.

Again, IMHO, the PPA should have long ago written proposed bills. Any self respecting lobbying group writes the bills they want.

As players I think we want the protections that legislation can offer. We want to be protected from Fraudulent OLP sites. We want protection in the form of segregated player funds. We want some ombudsman we can go to, to help resolve disputes. We want a fair field as far as what sites can operate.

OLP doesn't have to be a money maker for any State, but it can not be allowed to be a money loser for any State either. So fees and rake to cover the costs to the state are fair. Favoring any moneyed interest over other moneyed interests is not fair. That whole concept goes to graft, and corruption. <- that comment goes directly at the Indian Gaming Establishment. They are acting more corruptly than the groups they want to nix. Add the Horse Racing Establishment to that.

I don't see online poker being legal in the US anytime soon. The government would definitely be raking the games more if it does become legal in the near future.

Sorry, but it just ain't gonna happen. There is a vert strong religious lobby in America that is dead set against it.
