Actually sounds like he agrees with me that the more individual states do OLP the harder it will be to get anything done at the federal level. Still would put the chances of his bill going anywhere at somewhere slightly north of zero but it's better than nothing.

Can somebody from outside the USA post here if they are allowed to access Ultimate Poker?
Ive read in a few spots that Europe has access to these games, which would totally ROCK.

I love Station casinos. I go to Boulder Station when I am out there. My mother lives a couple miles down the street from that casino. For the last 2 1/2 years I have been trying to sell my house so I can move out there. I'm even down to 10% below tax value but still no takers. I hate to "give" it away. You'd think that after 16 years there would be some equity in it. At this point I'm about ready to just let my mortgage company have the damn thing. Their greed is what has the housing market upside down to begin with. (Always with the negative waves)
I'm going out there at the end of June. I may check out Ultimate Poker. Does anyone know if this is the old Ultimate Bet poker software?

GL with the House hobo, I feel your pain.
Ultimate Poker are the guys that started up Ultimate Fighting and made it so huge. Im pretty sure they have nothing to do with Ultimate Bet, could be wrong.
Make sure and sign up your account before you come to Nevada so any issues are ironed out b4 vacation time, then you just need to log in. (Thats what they recommend doing on their site)

I read somewhere that the company behind Ultimate Poker bought out UltimateGames so they would have programmers to design the software, so if this is true than it would be totally new software.

I am comfortable that this 30 day trial period will prove the site profitable.
I have looked at many of the $10,000 guarantee games at various sites today and none of them have the turn out volume per buy in, to pay out ratios that this Brand New, supposed limited field site has.

Well so much for a massive overlay game, lol.
They didn't feel they could fill the 100 seats and put the Max at 200, never thinking they would get even close.(personal op)
it exploded up to the 200 Max limit. at the last minute.
Im just curious how many would have entered if there was no Max set.

They did cap it to 200 people at the last minute, which was in violation of Nevada Gaming Statutes. It's very frustrating, because many MANY people were unable to register for the tournament after waiting since Tuesday to do so...myself being one of them.
Nowhere on the site was it made clear that they had, and I quote from their reply, "decided to limit it to 200 players" sometime after the tournamente was announced and opened for registration. I checked the rules, the e-mail ads I received, and the tournament details, and nowhere (until late this afternoon after it was full) did they make anyone aware of the cap.
If anyone else was affected by this, I did start a complaint with the gaming board. Who knows, maybe those of us put out of being in the tournament may get a second shot or at least some kind of apology from Station for the trouble.
To add your name to the complaint, you can call the gaming board at 702-486-2020, or 702-486-4000, or you can e-mail them at liaison@gcb.nv.gov . Just tell them you are calling in regards to the filed complaint against Station for the online poker cap in their innagural tournament.

It wasn't last minute - they did it at least by Friday. I wonder why they would want to cap it - unless they were worried about being able to handle more than that which is strange.
Anyway - during the 30 day trial period they may not be subject to some of the statutes - just speculating.
While it may have been frustrating that you couldn't register after waiting til the last minute to do so - not sure if I would get so upset over missing a poker tournament that I would file an official complaint.

This is online poker right? If a software can't handle 200 players, I dont see it lasting very long. Its very strange and it'll definitely hurt in the short term. So many people register last minute or late reg so I was pretty sure there wasn't going to be an overlay.
