Today at the wsop, Shaun Deeb was going deep in two WSOP Events (#13 & #14) playing them at the very same time. He ended up taking 3rd in #14 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw & was still in #13 at that point, the 'Big Blind Antes $1,500 NLHE & ended up busting out in 16th (of 1,306 entrants).
Anyone who is at the WSOP this year, how close were those two tournaments taking place? I mean the guy does not look like an athelete. Did he have a scooter or golf cart or something? (I actually saw Jason Koon playing two tourneys at the same time in 2016 but the guy's an ex-sprinter so it wasn't as bad & both games were being held in the same room at that time & only had to do a 50yd. dash to get to his other table).

Hoping he does well for the rest of the series! Also Paul 'paulgees' Volpe is starting off strong this year. I'd actually put my money on him to win POY this year. Would also put a last longer bet on him for the MainEvent.

Good luck to all CC members who are in Vegas this summer, enjoying &/or playing the WSOP tournaments. I'm jealous but hope to join you all next year.

Forgot to mention... that was Shaun's 5th cash already this summer at WSOP.

Must have been very difficult

That was some feat. It must have took some great time management on his end to bounce from table to table. I wonder what kind of strategy he used for this. Be there for blinds and position and move when out. He probably was able to last longer by missing hands. I've had some of my biggest tourney cashes by playing very few hands and minimizing losses. There usually ends up being a time where someone plays into you and you just have it and double up. :elefant:

Usually the only thing Shaun Deeb goes deep in is a deep dish pizza LOL

The guy used to win the pokerstars TLB every year a while back. He clearly is a MTT specialist. Very impressive. I can do without the slow rolls and other antics but you cannot deny he’s a great player.

Definitely! I used to really enjoy watching him in the $1k Monday on FTP.. aka 'TedsFishFry'. Guy was just a beast online & still is today in Live play.

Playing in two events at the same time is probably more common than we realize. We only hear about such things when the player involved is making a deep run in both, so it seems like it happens less than it actually does.

And yes, most players in this situation will play the blinds, button and cutoff and probably skip the rest of the hands in an orbit.
