Gl to all that are playing. That’s an insane number based on the entry fee. Guessing a lot got in via satellites. I’m still grinding and losing the $1.10 MTT. Lol. Long time before I get enough to play those stakes.

Hope to see some big cashes posts. Looks like Chicopaw is running strong.

Not surpricing given the corona situation, which has deprived people of the option to play live.

What a really cool feeling to leave for a break as a chip leader with a 75 bb stack in a tournament where 91 people are left. I probably could not sleep.

I think pokersites should use more this situation to their advantage and try to attract new players to their site. This is an good example how many more poker players are now playing when there is good tournaments like this.

Yah I totally agree! Also, I think they should hold some more series immediately & name them after the world-wide situation (ie. Social Distancing Series... or whatever).

Bit of trivia regarding this event at Pokerstars.. SunMIll 14.
The player who took 1st place is a losing player, with avg. buyin of $5, typically plays the 36player Hyper 6max Knockouts... and also the 10 cent 360man sng's. His biggest win in his lifetime prior to todays $1.1million was $215... which came on March 4th/2020 when he played a satellite for this Sunday Anniv. tourney.
The final hand... sitting with ~55bb's he open-raised 4x with '22'...villain 3B allin for 30bb's with '55'.. and AAAArthur snaps him off as an 80/20 dog. BUT.. he flops a '2' & takes it down! (had he not hit there the stack sizes would've been reversed).
The guy who placed in 2nd is a low stakes player prior to 2019.. then becoming a mid-stakes reg. with profit on Stars of ~$300k
I played in a private tourney with him 7yrs. ago where we both won a copy of SNG WIZ, lol.

Must've been super exciting to have had that experience.

Pokerstars made 1.4 million on this tourney alone if my math is right.

I am going to guess that it's right... but also maybe wrong.
Many of the entries to this tourney got there via satellites. LOTS of rake was paid in those satellites... so... I'd say they made much more than just from the actual tourney. Also, it brought out a large number of players who more than likely were paying lots of rake in lots other games they wouldn't have been playing otherwise. (< I know kind of indirect but still... something to maybe consider)

It's crazy how many satellites there were, I wonder how much rake PS got from it.

Legendary tournament in a crazy time which will be in the books.

I wonder how much Corona influenced the number of entries.

I think, they already are. For instance PokerStars quietly changed their 5.000$ "weekly freeroll" to a "reward freeroll", which runs twice every day. This is surely a promotional effort.
