If you are a Mac user and have been receiving the message declaring PokerStars is unable to confirm your location, it is due to a digital bouncer. There doesn't appear to be a fix for the problem any time soon, either.

Here is a list of the Mac computers that are affected:

  • 13-inch MacBook Pro
  • MacBook Air
  • 24-inch iMac
  • Mac mini
  • the newest iPad Pro

PokerStars Can’t Geolocate Players with New Macs
I would call this a big selling point for privacy minded Mac users:
"GeoComply, the digital bouncer tasked with ensuring only players within a state’s borders have access to just about all online casino operations in the US, can’t geolocate PokerStars players using Macs with the new M1 chip running the big Big Sur operating system."
Go Apple!
