No he won't do a long term sentence. PokerStars paid all their players back and he has plead guilty. A plea deal usually involves less of a sentence. Is he the last one that they were after from that time?? If so will they start targeting any of the current sites??

He didn't do anything bad , such as harming players , stealing their money or whatever . This joke has to end sometime soon , hopefully with him clearing his name from all these unfair charges .

He helped many USA players chase their dreams , with the best offers and promotions in the market after Party left the US . Players in US remember with nostalgia this golden poker boom era , they expect PokerStars to come in all states once more in the future /

Scheinberg payed all American players their money balances on Full Tilt , spent hundreds of millions of dollars to repay Full Tilt customers and buy full tilt poker site , stepped back from PokerStars later selling his so successful company . You might like PokerStars or not , you might like one decision PokerStars CEO or operating team makes ( about rake , freerolls , rakeback , whatever else ) or not . But you cannot accuse them of bad actor behavior or that they stole money , He or his company didn't steal any money . PokerStars is one of the 5 most trustworthy gambling companies all these years .
UIGEA was an unlawfull law by all means :) Monst of these accusations since then are only to harm online poker or online gambling in favor of live gambling companies , casinos or betting shops and their billionaires owners .

It's really strange nowadays , some billionaires casino owners who fought online poker or casinos with all their powers , now , in these bad days we live , with their casinos being hurt , they need to see the importance of online poker or casinos rooms , their value and contribution to the people , the societies , the states :)

I'm still wondering how it was allowed to happen the way it did. My recollection was that when the legislation was brought in a lot of big operators closed to US markets and suffered badly (party poker was one of them, it was massive before it pulled out) Pokerstars and a few others continued to operate. When Black Friday happened, Pokerstars continued to operate and expanded into other markets. It was allowed to buy up Full Tilt as well. How were they allowed to keep operating in other territories and to expand to remain the largest operator while others were prosecuted and closed down?

Makes me think the US government has way too much time and money on its hands. Lots better things to spend it on these days.

... hopefully they go after Trump with as much gusto once he's out of office in January.

He is just like bootleggers during prohibition. Eventually they will bring back online gambling to U.S. and then everything will be alright.
