I would distribute it among the 4 weekly freerolls on Saturdays, so they would go from having $300 guaranteed to $550, which leaves a first place prize of around $100, more than enough for those who need a bankroll to start their poker career

I would create 1 freeroll on Saturdays and 1 freeroll on Sundays with a prize of $ 125 each, and with a rebuy of 0.50 to be included in the prizes.

There would be 4 different formats.
Hold'em, Omaha, Razz and Stud.
One format every week.
First week of Hold'em.
Second week Omaha.
Third week Razz.
Fourth week Stud.

I have participated in multi format events and I find it very interesting to learn and vary.
I hope you like the idea.
I appreciate the opportunity to share ideas. :bird::bird:

I think it would be good to add a leaderboard surrounding the 8-game variants.
Would be set up in the home game club and would feature 1 tournament of each 8-game variant ($100 gtd prizepool) and then people earn leaderboard points based on where they finished in each tournmanet. The remainder of the money would go towards the top x amount of players.

Also, to give the NLHE players more of a chance, non-leaderboard mixed game tournies would be set up in the club beforehand to give people some practice before jumping in.

As a mixed game lover, anything which can get more people playing mixed games is always a good thing.

If I could add $1000 a month to CardsChat events at PokerStars, I would add weekly freeroll bounty tourneys. Bounties are fun and some sites have now started adding the freeroll bounties where half prizepool goes to a bounty on each player.

Username: abrantes1974

I'm confused... how do you have a bounty tournament in a freeroll? Would each player have a portion of the overall prizepool added to their player? (wouldn't that get difficult to do... and I don't think the pokersite's software is setup to even do such a thing). I'm fairly certain it would need to be a buyin tournament in order to hold a Bounty tourney.

BUT.. maybe that's a good idea! How about a buyin BOUNTY series, 1 game each week with $250 added to the prizepool along with a $2 micro buyin, where half of your buyin also gets added to the prizepool!

mtl mile end on pokerstars

Since there is already more than $4000 a month in PS tourneys for CC, it would be nice if an extra $1000 a month (25% increase) could go to something special and secure (sorry, that's the way I think). Like a tournament series with quarterly/monthly final games. The field could initially qualify through some pertinent process, then this (relatively small) field could be whittled down to the finalists who play the biggest game of the series. If done monthly, it could run like a Special Event with different themes, games and configurations. In the end, only a few would be playing in the final game, but everyone could enter and the field could change every month.

January: "Tournament of Champions" - everyone who made the top 100 in "Non US Site" leaderboard gets a go

February: Omaha Month - have a bunch of Home Games in January to set your field for the big Omaha Tournament

etc

How about a $1000 monthly Champions of Champions tournament.
The winner from each day frreroll for the month gets to play in that tournament.
Elite on elite fighting for the $1000 prizepool. Maybe even stream the game with commentary on Twitch.

No you do not need buyin for a bounty game.

The have the weekly Star Rewards game setup like this. There is no late registration as soon as game start they take the prizepool (5K or 10K) and divide by number of players and assign everyone the bounty amount.

I can't speak for other poker sites as I don't use them but PokerStars has freerolls like this available every week on Saturdays. Works as normal really. Total prizepool divided by the number of entrants to get the head prizes. Tickets come via rewards chests and all the money is in the bounties. In theory, someone could finish in 2nd but get no money at all if they haven't been KOing people.

If you could add $1000 a month to CardsChat events at PokerStars, what would you do?

Well, that's very easy and I'm glad you asked (because I was literally just about to PM you on this very topic), I would invest the funds into a series of games based around the principle of a new twitch/cardschat/PokerStars channel run by hardcore poker cardschatters for anyone with an interest in anything poker, freerolls, cardschat, PokerStars, vibing, tunage, fresh out of the bakery!

I'd happily front the channel as an irrepressibly-positive, whilst inexhaustibly curious, avenue for exploration of the poker dimensions.

To go where no amateur pokerist with everlong dreams of actualisation has ever been before!

**fireworks**

**Buzzlightyear-esque SFX**

Stick that in the corporate pipe and smoke it! Ithoughtwetoldyoutoshutthe****uprecords

(That's just a bit by the way, we don't really mean that. We love you at least as much as we hate you!) :laugh: :love:

THE END...?

~EDiT:- 'Course not! Didn't even get the chance the tell you it's Tr4cid yet! :laugh:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If anyone needs clarification with regards to what might be implied by 'fresh out of the bakery'...
It means Danishes. As in the pastries.
And coffee!
Work to be done. :coffee:
Schemes...
Plans...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

If it could only be, if you'd dated an Aquarius with me..!

All you young kids better run BETTER RUN faster than my bullets! :thrasher:

About $200 a month would go into a kick-ass cardschat freeroll which would bear all the hallmarks of a regular cardschat freeroll but with added twitch awesomeness!

The other $800 would go towards production costs, writing killer material, Danishes, sourcing epic beats and hot talent. Lots of coffee, I'm not gonna lie, straight up fair-trade honest about the caffeine (it's a deal breaker)!

You know you need that hot cup of Joe though!

:coffee:

Ok, so.. It's possible last night cardschat and PokerStars announced a pretty uber-exciting collaboration in celebration/honour of the Blowout Series.. :eek:

Now, it's furthermore possible that emotions were running high and in the revelry of the occasion there might've been some things said, some fanciful and fantastic talk over a dirty martini or two which.. Err.. Aha.. Haha.. *ahem*

Anywayyy.... While we all might enjoy a dash of light banter with our Angostura bitters, I think we'd all agree that in the cold light of day it's usually a good thing when... Err.. Calmer heads prevail.

:flute:

Hopefully none will begrudge the conditional offerings of both sober and.. Umm... Tipsy..? Suggestions as entry into the awesome competition? :albertein

Now, poker, cardschat and PokerStars are my life. It's difficult for me to admit that openly but the fact is I've loved these three entities, wholeheartedly, for years.

It's of course not always been plain sailing (is love ever?), but at the end of the day, for all the toys I've thrown outta the pram along the way, the love is true.

I sent Stars emails, pages long, offering my services in any way possible, professing my love for poker and that I'll never give up on my goals.

I've always been waiting for Stars to look at me, I've known that they'd see someone who lives, eats, sleeps, breathes and dreams poker (and Danishes). I feel like this is that moment. Just hope that they'll give me the shot.

People always talk about how poker needs characters, how poker doesn't have the characters it used to. How it's just become boring, mathy, timebanking. Where are the Scotties, the Devilfishes, the Chans, the Ungars?

I'll roll them all into one big fat one for you right now and light it up on twitch!

What'd I'd do with $1000 a month to put into cardschat community PokerStars games?

As drunk me said, I'd run a kick-ass cardschat PokerStars twitch channel. Unlike drunk me, sober me would put all $1000 into the channel and games for the cardschat community on PokerStars.

Because sometimes you're just on another level, I'd let the community decide how that money is distributed and in what type of games on a month-to-month basis where everyone gets to poll and perhaps there could be a lucky marble race or two.

While I doubt anyone here would argue against me being 'a character', it might seem that I'm turning on a dime.

I like to think that my open-mindedness and outspoken nature will be refreshing, encouraging and positive.

Plus I already think the world of Pyeface, GJ and could be the missing link between cardschat and Stars! :love:

I promise you, it's me!

:) :) :) :) :itsme: :) :)

Merry Christmas everyone at cardschat and PokerStars, Big Love and success to you all! :icon_sant :icon_rend

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In summary, merging all previous posts relevant to the cardschat/Stars/twitch/freeroller-channel-concept entry represents the coming together of great things..
The Blowout Series, cardschat, PokerStars, twitch and my insatiable passion for poker!
These final (I promise) videos encapsulate my feelings and desire for this idea.. :love:
If I win, this is the frenzied drive I'll apply to the tournament and to igniting the channel in such a way that it burns fiercely...
If one of the many other brilliant, creative, funny, smart and thoughtful entries win- I'll be just as happy as any other day on which I wake up with the ability to cardschat and PokerStar! :wink:
Big Love! :love:
I'm guessing you don't play on Pokerstars? They changed their Weekly Rewards Freeroll to a bounty a while ago. Players love it, other sites are doing it now too.
Hello Team CC,
what a great promotion.
Thanks again for all what you guys do for all of us.
PS UID: bosanac-man
I would add 1 monthly Bounty Tournament where would be a extra bounty price on eliminating our Mods/Admins and Loyalers, and the rest of the crew.
I would set for all FRC members.
Next I would leave the last monthly for championship round with extra bounty for previous game top 10%
That would be great promotion and let FRC members to play agains our Team members.
I know that some of you guys cannot play on PS money games, since you're in US, but still IMHO would be great for the rest of us.
Every month I would organize a tournament with a prize pool of $ 500, NL Holdem. The schedule of prizes should be determined when the number of players who apply is known. The 30 best placed players would gain the right to play in a tournament that would be organized every 3 months, and whose prize pool would consist of the remaining 3 parts of $ 500 each. Should a player qualify for the final tournament in 2 or all 3 qualifying tournaments, that player would start the final tournament with double or triple the number of chips in relation to the other players. I would allow all CardsChat members to access the competition.
At the beginning of each quarterly cycle, a topic should be launched on which players wishing to participate would register with their PokerStars name, because when there are tournaments for all members, the password always leaks and thousands of players register and such a tournament looks more like bingo than poker.
What I would like would be a freeroll for the winners of the previous month. As far as I know there is a list taken with every PS freeroll result. I would work with that list since it already exists and additional work is kept small. Top 50 or maybe 100 of the Month will participate in next month "$600 Champions Freeroll"
The other $400 i would divide into four and make it four $100 freerolls of different games. So there will be some PLO action, such as Horse, potentially Stud, Razz, Draw... Giving the whole poker experience.
Happy Holidays
I'd add half to the existing freerolls, and use the other 500 for a monthly leader board tournament for the top 100 players from the existing freerolls for that month.
I would turn the daily freerolls into satellites for the $ 1000 monthly freeroll without changing the daily payouts. For example, only the big final of the month (freeroll $ 1000) qualifies for those who arrive in the FT of the daily freerolls. That would be amazing.
There are only tournaments, but for example there are no promotions for cash players or sit and go players. So I have 2 options:
1) Monthly or weekly Home Games Cardschat cash game leaderboards with prize pools of $ 1000 or $ 250 respectively.
2) Cardschat spin and go with a buy-in of 10 cents and the possibility of winning up to $ 1000 monthly.
Pokerstars username is lekain.
