On Tuesday evening, the chairman of the Gaming Authority of The netherlands told that ten online casinos will receive a license this week. They can go live in the Netherlands from Friday, when the online gambling market opens. This is a complete overview of casinos that are legal in the Netherlands from October 1. It is not known yet if these casinos offer online poker. More names will be added here as soon as there is more information: Fair Play Online, GG Poker (poker for sure :)), Rocket Casino, Bingoal, BetCity.nl, TOTO

more to come.

Also legal: Holland Casino (Poker for sure) and Tombola

Hi! This is how it should be everywhere! Playing in a semi-legal casino is a big risk for players!

Not legal (yet): some big international poker sites: unibet, Bwin, 888poker, pokerstars, partypoker, BetKing, ACR, Sportsbetting etc. :(

Yes, you are right. I think stop playing at illegal sites.

And legal: Bet365 (Poker for sure) and Livescore.

Probably not before beginning of 2023. All those illegal operators may not accept new players from The Netherlands as of oct 1st. Otherwise they will be fined.

We, in the Netherlands, are still able to play at PS.
The only restriction AFAIK is we cannot deposit or withdraw from/to a Dutch bank institution so we have to use other payment methods.

I guess, this is good news for dutch players. Hopefully the regulation dont come with to many drawbacks, like we have seen in some other countries.

Very good news, I think that poker should be allowed all over the world. I like to play with players from different countries.

Unfortunately not. As from Oct 1st we are not allowed to play at Pokerstars anymore. But the good news is that you can withdraw your funds at any time.

Poker sites are closing for the Netherlands as from Oct 1st: Pokerstars, Partypoker, Bwin...more to come.

No cardschat freerolls for me anymore ;(

Yeah, think we are done.
Just got an update on Stars software and no more tournaments, except freerolls.
Cash game was still available but I assume will be gone by tomorrow too
I am yet registered in a CC freeroll for next saturday but I'm afraid I will be automatically unregistered tomorrow......we'll see.

Black Friday in the Netherlands:eek:

Unfortunately yet they still show in my account but we are not able to register in them anymore.

Even more, when opening the cashier I got the note I have to withdraw the money in my account.

Indeed, we are done :(

And this is where, this turns into a news, which is after all not great for dutch players at all. Until yesterday they were able to play on all the major sites, but now there is pretty much only GG Poker left. So dutch players are getting much less choise without getting anything positive in return other than the comfort, that now some dutch authority is monitoring the GG Poker operation.

But its pretty questionable, how important that really is, when the now banned sites are being monitored by authorities in several other countries already. So what this really truly does is probably to push dutch players towards sites like ACR or Betonline, which dont give a f u c k about regulations in any part of the world.

Also its a bit misleading to say, that online poker is now "legal" in the Netherlands. The right word is "regulated". Until yesterday it was unregulated, which mean, it was neither legal or illegal. It was, what is known as a "grey market", which is why, sites like PokerStars, 888 Poker and PartyPoker were operating there. They did not break any laws doing so, because there were no laws regulating their activity.

No problem at all. I just think, there are some common misconceptions about this, so I wanted to clarify for the sake of other forum members :)

First of all, I'm by far not addicted to Poker or gambling in general.
All I do is play a game of poker just every now and than, just recreational (freeroll, low BI).

Now, I live in the Netherlands god damned.
Nowadays if I want to go to some event, restaurant, cinema, bar or whatsoever I have to show I am vaccinated.

Government now decides I will not be able to play some game I like at the site I like.......

Where does it end ?

Am I in some kind of big prison, where more and more I cannot do what I like ?

More and more every step I take , what I do, is regulated.

Free country...my ass

This is really ridiculous! I can no longer even access my PokerStars and Unibet account as long as they are not licensed in the Netherlands.

What is your experience with GGpoker? Doubts about creating an account there or just take a temporary poker stop.

Think I'm gonna give it a try one day as sometimes I want to relax and play a game so if they are my only option I will go there.
I'm in no need to hurry though....there's more ways to relax and have some fun.

Whether or not you 2 know it already but 888 dont care at all if certain european nations are playing in their room illegally. Some european countries have done it for years (if not decades) now despite them NOT having license there so ...
