So are these 42 older bots or new bots that replaced the old bots? Needs more detail from Part Poker.

a recently released report shows that $46,805 has been retrieved from fraudulent accounts.

Will this money be returned to the players affected by the bots?

The article isn't clear whether or not the bots were old or new. But the article does state this ---

Since creating its Poker Fraud Team, Partypoker has shut down more than 300 accounts running illegal software.
As well as returning over $750,000 to affected players since the start of 2019, the online operator is vying to make its platform the safest in the industry.

Good afternoon, tell me, on what limits bots were calculated, Thank you?

All I know is what is shared in the article linked in the first post. As it has been stated in the article, more than 300 bot accounts have been shut down, so far.

It's of course a very good thing that they are doing.
But I think that these 42 (or 300) bots are just the tip of the icemountain. (Don't know if that's a real expression in English, it def. is in Dutch).
Must be weird to receive money a bot 'stole' from you.

BOT Stats

It sure is a good thing to know that security has finally been able to "crack" the ice and perform what is beginning to be an interesting foundation for sites to build on.

It will be interesting to see how many they find, if they are able to detect before tournament play, and if they can prevent future invasions by an ever-increasing number of interests, be it marketers or curious poker players.

Hopefully for all of us who believe in "skill over botism" the new findings will put an end or slow pace to the BOT plague.

Only time will tell.

Only those who behave in an insolent manner and facilitate such botting - in one way or another - will find this news upsetting.

Of course, we know their livelihoods and wallets will be severely affected from PP's hammer of retribution. Great stuff and hope to see more in the future!

sad times

its a sad sorry state of affairs when people have to get the upper hand through cheating what happened to good old fashioned skill to win the game?

personally i do not trust full tilt poker nor party poker as both wore closed down due to people who own the company stealing from the companies and running them into the ground this isnt a lie i promice you its a fact! if you can remember that far back none of those companies can be trusted no matter how well regenerated they are

if you wish to read about this and you didnt know here is a link to an article or you can just type thier names into google :)

I wasn't aware partypoker had been shut down at the same time as FullTilt? I was very aware of FullTilt, AP and UB being shut down, though.

This is great news.

The alarming thing of course, is how many are left and how many are there at all of our favorite sites. I cannot imagine a scenario with these folks who are using bots have limited their activity to just one site. Just the tip of the "iceberg", as was stated earlier. (I think I do like tip of the "icemountain" better.)

You are making your point with inaccurate and outdated information. FTP was shut down 8 years ago and is no longer under the same ownership and party poker was never shut down. :)

I wouldn't rely on google to decide if I want to play online poker today and which sites to choose.

Keep it up, next month it will be 63 more bots. Very good way to attract new people, show them how many bots they are playing against.

Then tell them to click on this link where you can watch a streamer, playing with PartyPokers money.

I cant think of a better way to spend my day TBH then trying to win money against robots and spoiled rich people playing the same game as i am but with someone elses money.

This is a fantastic post and thanks souch for this, I have made threads on this topic because this has been a concern of mine for a long time. As I mentioned I sent several emails to starts about bots and did not receive a single reply. This is concerning!

Congratulations to PP for its steps in eliminating fraud. I'm also expecting news from other poker sites. Poker is a nice game that does not deserve to be overshadowed by such negative things.
