This is certainly good, but with a program for bots you can create new registrations. I wonder what methods sites use to detect bots. At pokerstars, at one time one of the methods to combat bots used a window for a player during the game and he had to give an answer in it.

Interesting that a the 'bots found' number in 4 months allows various people to draw conclusion on:
- the effectiveness (0 bots found is bad.... why????)
- the number of bots (there must be many bots as the number of bots found fluctuates)

When studying math, many more samples were needed for scientific proof; try doing a fourier transform on 4 data points.

It looks more like a political statement, that may very well be effective:
- pp is looking for bots, detecting and stripping them
- scare the bots away (to other sites?)
- comfort our minds that pp is the best, only to get us to play at pp instead of the competition

I congratulate their achievements but I wonder how the fight with AI will be "won" (if at all) in the long term. I mean, as computers become more and more capable, significantly every year, I doubt there will be much left to play for in the year 2030, I imagine.

I'm concerned about any cheating, personally - but, knowing that the poker sites are trying to do their part to help keep the cheaters off the site, does help. One thing we do have to remember, when some people get caught doing something they shouldn't be doing, sometimes that only encourages them to find another way around the system.

In the end, it is up to each individual if they choose to play online poker knowing bots are potentially going to play with you.
