Hey guys, you think there's any chance CC can launch some freerolls on the Ontario version? I'm a Platinum member here and it feels like there is no longer a point for me being one until I move ...

I, too, hope the location issues will work themselves out. If not, pokerstars' support has been pretty good, so there is hope.

We will have to wait and see what the future holds for those of us in Ontario.

My experience with the change-over to Ontario Only Pokerstars: I was playing globally yesterday (Jun 27), there was a great selection of games. I usually play the draw poker or HORSE games. Today I logged in and I forced to changeover to Pokerstars.ca, it went smoothly and I was able to check out the available games. Not much variety now, but I was able to join a $5 250 guarantee holdem tournament with 87 players. I'm 2 away from the money right now, wish me luck. There's still a lot of us Ontario players ready to play some decent games. I'll miss the CC freerolls though, I'm thinking that Pokerstars may be up for promoting it's new Ontario Pokerstars by sponsoring some exclusive Ontario only CC freerolls?

Well?! How well did you finish? :)

All but the Cashier has been straightened out with PokerStars for me. I hope the same for everyone else!

How many players are on PS ON now? partypoker has been ~300-400, on any given day.
Did you get the $30 bonus for transferring your account?

The change to Ontario App on pokerstars was very bad for me. For one, the Ontario app doesn't display any freerolls. Also, I am in Poland now for another month and a half and as an Ontario resident I can't play for money on the Ontario app and I can't play on the regular one at all. So, I have some money on my account and I can't play at all for a month and a half. I enjoyed the platinume level freerolls on pokerstars but I guess I won't be able to play any of them now.

5th place for a $27 payout, I was robbed at the end when a 3 outer on the river killed me :cry: My cashier looks to be intact, My US cash balance was converted over to Canadian $, I'm not sure what conversion rate they used, but it seems fair. I withdrew most of my balance a month ago when I first found out about Pokerstar's plans, just to beat the rush. My low balance may be the reason I didn't get any bonuses.

There was no bonus for me, it could be because of my low balance.. Right now at 2:40 pm there are 90 players in a $5 -1K Guarantee Holdem game, I couldn't resist joining that one. I expect there will be a lot more players in the evening.

So about 50% overlay on the $1k MTT ?
Partypoker was like that the first few months.

At the top corner, it usually tells you how many players are online right now.
I would be interested to know.

I will make an account in a couple of weeks, when I have time to play.
I'm worried if I make an account now, i might lose out on any bonuses if I dont use them as they are released.

It reads 46,833 players right now, I'll let you know what it says in the evening. It seems high, but, I guess it includes the casino and sports betting people.

This seems high to me too, considering the main Stars client hovers around 80-90K tops unless there's a big series running. The plus side is you might see a lot of overlay while they figure out expected vs. actual traffic, especially during the inaugural series coming up.

This is definitely one of those times I'm glad to be an Albertan...

I did not realize this was happening. I was killing it in 50/50 poker and there was a game ready in the micro's every couple of minutes. Now you have to wait line an hour just to play micros. The government really botched this. I hope they realize how badly this back fired on them and change this back quick.

I support CC and all they can do. I keep my membership live, however I’m not playing on the Ont ps site in protest. I have no issues giving up online poker completely. If all Ontario players would simply stop for a short time, things would change. Stop supporting segregation, stop supporting this sick corrupt mentality.

I will say this in support of Stars - they are doing what they can to support poker players in Ontario. That recent Platinum series had a ton of overlays and the play was good. Yes, the wait times for micro sit n go's and spins is crazy but cash traffic is OK. They have a dedicated section on the PokerStars discord for us which is nice to speak to them directly as well, but I'm not liking these changes compared to what we had. I miss the KO games - hope some form of that can come back eventually

Well i really don't like the price on the KO games at $2 and $3 a game but that's what we get so i play them some times twice a day and have had some good returns as of late. The runners in the games don't change much some time there are around 100 and sometimes a little more my bank roll has jumped a bit so i keep playing.
