2018 is coming to a close and Michigan lawmakers are doing their best to make a last-minute push for online poker legalization before the new year.

Michigan Lawmaker Makes 11th Hour Push to Legalize Online Poker Before End of 2018

This is the second time they have tried to push a bill like this through, and it is almost deja vu all over again with the time running out.

Last time was in 2016 with SB 0889 which went to the Senate floor and disappeared into thin air. Nobody knows what happened to it after that.

Things looked promising when that bill was submitted in June with plenty of time to spare. Hopefully this time around they can get some support for it.

On a side note, Rep. Brandt Iden looks like some PBS science teacher. =)

I Googled his images and that is a one-of-a-kind get up. Usually he is dressed very politician-like, right down to a power tie. It is kind of curious as to why this one was used.
