Thoughts on the new legislation in Michigan that would legalize online poker? It's my understanding that the land based casinos are supporting the bill, which makes sense because a lot of people who are intimidated by casinos can build up their confidence and give the the courage to go play live. Studies have also shown the correlation between rising popularity in online tournaments and rising participation in live tournaments (and the inverse being true as well). Personally, I believe that online poker is good for the game for many reasons. Other thought??

Definitely. It is a big struggle in getting players to play more in depth games like Poker, Craps, baccarat, etc. Allowing potential customers to learn in a more comfortable environment (and cheaper) benefits the casinos in the long run. Glad they are finally realizing that more poker is good for all.

one of the house reps was in my town last week and he said it could pass by a slim margin but he thinks it going to happen.
