This is a discussion on Live events moving to online proves profitable within the online poker forums, in the Poker News and Events section; Upon moving its live events online in the wake of the new coronavirus crisis has proven to be a profitable venture for Grosvenor Poker.
Online poker and online casinos is the best answer for grinders or casino players , women or men , these days with this outbreak . Also for more occasional players or people who never tried poker or online poker , but now they do try it . Being in isolation , trying to have some fun and at the same time some profits , playing poker online is the best way .
Now these liveevents would have been cancelled , but thanks to the possibility to be played online , not only they are not canclled , but actually they have a record number of participants and prizepools .This is great for online poker boom but also for these people to be able to play their beloved live events , with greater prizes , without any other expenses in live casinos (accomondation in multi days tourneys , food cost , etc)
This really does not surprise me, with Casino's all over the World shut down and even Pubs and Clubs closed I have had to return to on-line Poker to get my fix! I love to play, win or lose I really don't care, It is all about taking part in something I enjoy.
I stopped playing on-line Poker a long time ago in preference for Live games and did pretty well out of them, even running a game as Tournament Director in my local Pub for 6 years. I just love the game.
A friend once described Poker as Chess with Chips and it really is, a game of strategy and skill.
