I don't think anyone can use any added software, even under normal circumstances, can they?

They can, as GT software are independent of the actual poker platform. Most online professionals use it and that's why I am not big on online poker as it is more about being skillful with poker tools too. Using preflop charts and GT software was the key condition for Doug. As he claimed that he prepared for the match considering they will be allowed as it is part of online poker. Daniel denied. That was the last update I had on this match.

Doug Polk versus Daniel Negreanu is officially on and will begin Nov. 1. All the action will take place on WSOP.com, a poker site available in Nevada where both participants reside.

Polk and Negreanu will compete in a $200/$400 No-Limit Hold’em contest. The match will last 25,000 hands and the competitors will play two tables at once.

Currently, there has been no announcement of a live stream.

Is Daniel a weak opponent? I think Negreanu will win easily. We need someone stronger for him.

That's the way I read it, and I know 200 hands isn't as much as we would like but it's a start. Hopefully, someone is able to stream it and we won't have to pay to see it.

IMO it will be interesting to watch: DNegs isn't at his best lately but he had time to prepare for this event and even tho Doug Polk is favorite to win, I think he went a bit crazy too- especially his big side bets against Perkins and a few others where he offered 5:1 odds.... for sure he'll look really bad if DNegs will beat him...
