Thanks Evan, you are a great person tho. I'll make a try, and let's see how it goes my first ACR game of the year.

I am not sure how I missed the post on the initial voyage of this tournament , just guessing it had something to do with my day job....lol! So, I did not see how that played out, but sounds like it was a success.

Perhaps I am being naive, as I do not play a lot of "different" types of tournaments, BUT, the structure of this tournament strikes me as "Nothing Short of Brilliant"!

It seems to be have designed by a Poker Pro who also runs a Poker Site! I am guessing / assuming / pretty sure that Evan was the brains behind this structure. Well Done Sir!

It also seems to be a perfect marriage between, CardsChat (daily ACR Platinum Freerolls) and ACR (building site loyalty).

I started the tournament thinking I just wanted to check it out... and would not do a re-buy during this first one... but then I got so intrigued with the structure, I said, ok, I have to do one just to get a little bit more of an invested feel for this game.

While I am not doing particularly well in the game, I am thoroughly enjoying it and look forward to playing in many more!

I quick apology, we had an issue with the structure today.

The event is supposed to be 6-max and pay top 36.
But the team who set up the game forgot to set those two features.

So it was paying 108, and when there were that many left and late reg still opened it automatically closed late reg, and ended the rebuy period with no option to addon.

We will get that fixed next week so that players have the opportunity to get those 15k chips for $3 addon which is supposed to be the point. Nice big value chip stack and then the tournament really gets started.

that being said, we still had a great turnout and the added money will be credited to player accounts over the next few days (like the sunday CC game)

Thanks to everyone who played and who tuned in, and I look forward to seeing you all on the stream and on the CC game sunday.

Yes, I put a ton of thought into the structure and I'm glad you enjoy it.

The idea is that I like to make the game available to all (hence the free entry) but I like to reward those who are willing to invest some money and give them the chance at the big prizes (this is why the rebuy is worth 5x the free starting stack, and why the addon is 15k chips for people who stick in the game for the full haul).

I also set it up so if people want to just register late at the 2 hour mark they can take the rebuy and addon, have 20k chips when the game becomes a freezeout and have plenty of chance to make a deep run since bb is only 1500 at that point.

Looking forward to hosting it again next weekend. Will be super fun!!!

Evan, Thank you for your response to my post, and fortunately, I noticed this post in the thread regarding the "technical issues"... that saved me a little typing... lol!

My initial post was made during the first break. I will say I was caught off-guard when the re-buy / add on period ended pre-maturely. Perhaps, based on the # of payouts, I should have seen it coming, so I guess that is on me, but I failed to anticipate that. It was a bit unfortunate, but I am very happy to hear that was not by design! Oh well, my main goal was to play and get a feel for the tournament! That was accomplished and I like it!

All in All, I thoroughly enjoyed the game and look forward to participating in the ones to come!

In closing, and as a side-note, a couple hours ago, my girlfriend brought her laptop into my office and said, have you ever watched this guy before?...he is playing live on ACR... I am like who? Well, it turned out to be your twitch feed...lol! I said, oh, I know who that guy is, he posts on CardsChat, and had that tournament I played yesterday on ACR! Just too funny! I watched for a few minutes... then break came and she had to retreat back to the living room to try to figure out how to sign-up for the... ball race?... I think it was... lol! Looked interesting, I will check-it out soon!

but, even at 9-max it's great. And the rebuy/addon period worked fine this week.

Yesterday I managed to take part in this cool freebuy game
When the Late registration was over we counted 1011 participants overall
I managed to finish 28th out of those 1011 that was cool
I was not satisfied how I played my last hand, but I guess I was tired from the day and was not thinking clearly Naturally I took screenshot of it but somehow I lost it
My last hand was AJs against different color AK suited, To cut the story short. My opponent hit his color and got Flush and I missed my color completely.
Couple of hands later Evan also got busted out. He had 30$ bounty on his head as a special incentive for other players to chase him
Also bubble boy got 10$ consolidating prize
Once again, it was it was fun game and I'm glad I took part in it
