Interesting, but there is so much that I don't agree with.

"Crypto payments are overtaking traditional banking methods"
"Full transaction anonymity"
"Soon, online casinos will take over the land-based market and replace the fancy and posh casino..."

I'm actually surprised it's not over 24% that lose money and rarely get consistent wins. I would have thought it would be way over 50%

"Data from the Money and Mental Health Policy Institute shows that over 24% of all casino players have serious money problems because of gambling."

Almost 1/4 of players with serious problems seems to be a lot. Now just losing money should be more, i think. And there are still people talking about poker becoming an olympic sport.

I think if they made poker legal and taxed it, it would clear up a lot of the problems and get rid of a lot of the bad actors.

The online games market is growing. But VR is an unrealistic step into the future. It's hard for me to imagine this. Especially considering the problems of many players in connection with the transition to a new engine of some poker rooms.

96% of gambles stay at home. Cant imagine why. LOL

I love Las Vegas but it really left a bad taste in my mouth when looking to book a trip this year. The cost has gotten so high and there are fees just being added everywhere. Some places are adding fees to your donning bill or one hotel electricity fee. One hotel I looked at the fees were more than the room cost. I can see why this online gaming is the future.

Such an interesting report, I think that all this situation with the pandemic is what actually made online gambling grow. I think that the online format is getting much popular as all you need to gamble is access to the Internet. Of course, the percentage of winning varies depending on the platform, so it is important to check it carefully and read the feedback from experts or other users. Actually, I can recommend checking the best casino sites on casinosters as it is the perfect way to check the platform's credibility. Also, if talking about VR gambling, I suppose, it will be the next step in the development of the online gambling industry.

This is interesting. 66 billion is so much. I always wonder how they get these stats considering most platforms won't share any information.

I think casinos'edge is far more than 5%in slots maybe 95% lol . As for the gambling problems , unfortunatelly they do exist , especially in casino games not in poker , but thankfully there are many tools nowadays to protect yourself , you can ask for protection , but I think the best is the poerrooms and casinos theselves to be able to put some limits on the plaers based on their deposits and wealth from Day one , so asto forbid them play alot of money and lose a lot , then go sad and desperate and full of addiction and tilt .

The profits are a lot from casino games and sports for gambling industries , very few from poker , this is also expected . Although poker is based more on skill , and more safe imo .

I'm surprised with the 24% number. For me it makes more sense to me that 24% of the players wins money and get consistent wins (which for me still is a high number too, I always thought would be around 15-20%).

Agree. At least in my country 99% of the advertising related to gambling is from sports bets sites, they are even sponsoring many soccer teams. Only 1% is from poker sites.

Reputable bookie wrote in his book ten years ago that 99% sport betters lose, only 1% makes profit. For me sport bets and why not poker also are hobbies, something that i can become better at time. Nowdays if you are smart and hard-working, mainly just hard working, you can upgrade your results and maybe over time your hobbies start paying back for themselves. Ticket to swimming bath once a week cost you more :)
