The tournament was not in his favor initially. As far as I remember from the broadcast, Eric Seidel was with a short stack not far from the bubble. When the final table was formed, he wasn't a chip leader or next to him. Francesco Benitez had the advantage in heads-up a 4:1 chip lead. But fate was kind to Seidel. He gets his 9th bracelet and $977,842.
