Ebony Kenney won the All In For Feeding America charity tournament at Americas Cardroom on Saturday, April 11. Kenney beat Kevin Pollak in heads-up play to win the $10,000 buy-in online event.

Although the event was generally well-received, there were a few who were not totally on board with the event.

Interesting tournament. Stars playing poker has always attracted the attention of the public. All the money went to a charity to fight hunger that's the most important thing.

I watched this live, it was a great tourney, a great cause and a lot of fun to watch. She was a wonderful champion. The commentators did a great job also and the stars even did call in interviews with them. Thanks to Ben Affleck for putting this together and Phil Nagy and all the people at ACR for putting this together.

I watched this a bit at the beginning stages of the tourney. I was def surprised how fast the structure was for this. I haven't been involved in a charity tourney and wonder if the live charity events follow a structure like that.

As I replyed to original news, I also think, this is not the best move.
They should hold them back like everyone else during these Corona times.
Actually they are giving a bad example about doing like this.

Of course, when they want to do something for charity, they shall do, But please, online!!!

I don't think I follow, Isa.

If they are raising money for food programs throughout the country, is this not a good thing? Maybe the charity won't stop at the coronavirus pandemic. Perhaps, this could be a regular event?

I do understand how some people are concerned of the legalities of the poker site they are playing on, given online poker is not totally legal in the USA, right?! And that could be a legit concern.

Online Isa, I commented on the news article before I posted here.

Great tournament for charity reasons by ACR . Other pokerrooms have done the same , ACR also proves how much it wants to help generally , especially these crisis tiimes we live nowadays . I say Hellmuth had a deep run , Millonakis ranked 3rd , he cried out later in his stream apologising that he is not a pro and he tries to become a better player , he almost cried for real , lol

I would have prefered if Hellmuth had won this tourney , but we canot have everything we like in this life , lol . Congratulations to Ebony Kenney , a well deserved victory

65 entrants , don't know about reentrants , $1M was guaranteed , ACR made it $2M , that's really awesome , money for the people who need it most , who need sth , which for most people is regarded in their lives as ''guaranteed '' , as we say in poker tournaments ... the simpliest need , just to be fed ....
