Hadn’t affected me but it is concerning when you put money down on a large MTT and are more worried about the site crashing than you crashing.

Had a couple freerolls cancelled for me.No big deal. First time in almost 2 years this has happened so i'm still very happy with partypoker. ACR is a joke that's not funny,it's more sad than anything that they would even have the gall to comment.

I was sort of thinking the same thing, but who knows? Maybe PP did the same to them at one point? It's probably best for any of the sites to stay quiet about these issues since any one of them could be next.

ACR, PP now PS joined to the list of rooms, which are hunted by hackers. The fact that the room turned me off was unexpected. Nobody is immune from hacker attacks. Upsets the other that the PS has reacted so long to the problem. Dods Attack on other rooms should had compel PS ready for such a problem, but the PS does not want to learn from other room's mistakes, they have waited for problems at home and are only now struggling with it. This is not good.

When I was in college we were asked to look around the room. We were told that some of these people in this room will be the reason you are here taking this class in Cyber Security. Some people do things because they think it is funny or will make them infamous, while others will try for money and fame.
There is always someone a little bit smarter than you, so eventually they will be caught.

I've had games paused and/or suspended on both ACR and pokerstars. In all cases, I received a full refund. During the issue on Pokerstars, there was a guy on my table from canada who was stealing all the blinds so it wasn't just Europeans.

I am not aware of any of the poker sites paying a ransom so if someone has some evidence of that, I would love to see it. Unfortunately, it's not just poker sites that are being attacked by DDoS. We live in a world today where some individuals will try to take advantage of others any way they can.

PokerStars and ACR/BCP seem to still be under attack at times this week. I haven't been on PartyPoker this week.

No, but I was affected by it on ACR when they were having the same issue. Poker sites need to have better security. DDoS attacks are getting out of hand on all poker websites. Something has to be done.

Same. ACR and BCP (which is my current fave).
A lot of speculation happened about whether it was faked, but from the looks in recent days and from what I've heard it's some band of cybercriminals.

Not sure what the point is though? Do they get paid? I heard someone talking about a ransom, but how can the DDosers not get caught?
