The article mistakenly states that there are 200-300 people on ACR at any given time. Anyone who plays there knows there are thousands of players signed up for most of the low to mid stake tourneys at a time so that was an incorrect statement. The biggest scare in today's unregulated sites is the lack of over site, that being said if a site was obviously out of wack lets call it the players would move somewhere better. That keeps them somewhat in check. I do not believe it is fair that once the US decided to let online sports gambling come back that poker was, after the fact, cut out of the fun. If we are ever to have regulated online poker in the states I think we would have to begin a serious campaign to make it so. Maybe some professional lobbyist who was passionate for the game could take up our cause??

Sadest day in poker history. Fulltilt was the place to be !
Excellent layout
Unbelievable tournaments
Everything you wanted in online poker was to be found at fulltilt and then some ! I wish it never went down the way it did.
And I also wish that someday something similar returns for us. Especially us USA players.

It has been nine years since we experienced Black Friday. Oh, how things have changed with online poker! CardsChat contributor, Jon Sofen, recalls how the online poker landscape changed on April 15, 2011.

Black Friday’s Nine-Year Anniversary: How Online Poker in the US Has Since Changed
Hi Shells [emoji2] . Yes was sad day not just for shut down of poker rooms in USA but also the effect it had on many forums and the games they sponsored. This great forum survived but many did not. I miss playing some of the people I had met in some of those games

We the people of the poker community are the ones to keep them in check...It's our responsibility to handle those checks... Check out this posted yesterday on 2+2... Its long but very well worth the read
