Without hesitation Doug Polk is a HU specialist and I think he has an advantage in this match. If it were tournaments Negreanu would have the advantage but this is not the case, so I would choose WCGrider

Not only does Doug have a heads up advantage but he also has an online advantage. If it were a live match I would give Daniel the edge as more capable of reading his opponent.

If Doug does win Daniel should challenge him to a live rematch.

Doug was one of the best online NL heads-up players in the world and I expect he has seen millions more hands in this format than Negreanu. If I had any money, it would be bet on Doug.

I really think the format favors Doug so I think he will win the match. I would not be surprised if DNegs wins though. This format is in Dougs wheelhouse while Dnegs is more of a mixed game guy from what I remember about him. Advantage Doug Polk.

I like both players. Two of my most favorite players ever. It depends. If its live, i think Daniel will win. If its online, i think Doug will win.

Think you are spot on with this. Also think the format will matter, ie if they are playing 4 tables HU online then Polk would have a big edge, but it if its live 1 table I would go with Daniel.

Can we all agree that they are both very good players and whomever wins- it doesn't really matter or mean much. We all win and loose at poker throughout a poker session and we often put our chips in the middle on a coinflip. Maybe Doug is trying to refuel some imaginary competition so he can get some press about himself or poker. A'' poker duel'' draws people's attention and interest. Even if Negreanu looses what does it really mean? GG poker are using emoji's with his face so that's probably the epitome of making it in poker, not some ego duel.
