I hope this employee to get well . Also no more deaths because of this virus , or to minimise significally the losses . So Macau casinos are not the only ones to suffer because of this outbreak . This casino in the US , many businesses related to casinos or not also face problems worldwide , many events are being cancelled or postponed . wsop to follow ?? Really frustraring these damages and results , hope they find a way to restrain this virus outbreak .

In my opinion, this virus has to be contained and soon if the WSOP is going to be successful this year. There has been some talk as to how the WSOP will be affected but that's as much as we know.

This is a nightmare situation. It looks like live poker is headed into a depression.
I believe our best hope is that containment fails fast and miserably, and we start treating it like the flu season.

If the live Casinos are out, then online poker might boom again, Shells.
You can't catch Covid-19 off a device:D
When the economy is in trouble people gamble more.
Trump might see fit to keep the electorate happy, and allow our American friends back on Stars etc.
That would be truly brilliant.

That could be an upside. There's definitely a learning curve switching from live to online too.

An Oregon casino closed down due to an employee contracting the coronavirus. Wildhorse Resort in Pendleton, Oregon, became the first US casino to cease operations in relation to the COVID-19 scare.

Employee Diagnosed with Coronavirus Forces Oregon Casino to Close

If the employee contracted the virus at the workplace then it is an occupational illness and the employee deserves all the workman's comp and other benefits that they are due.

This is actually difficult to prove so usually the employee gets nothing.

The cancellation of poker tournaments and other conventions is a disaster for everyone involved - airlines - hotels - restaurants - etc.

Would be very interested to know if there are more online poker players because of the outbreak.

Good luck !

now is not a good time to be in a closed room with hundreds of other people. it was just a matter of time before it happened. however, it's a good time to stay at home and play online. I wish you all stay healthy. I hope that they will quickly find a treatment for this virus and that everything will return to normal.
