Christmas Short Stacks include a huge video poker win, two robberies and the new Hardrock Hotel in Vegas

It was the week before Christmas 2022 and an unnamed New Jersey woman hit it big at Harrah's Resort Atlantic City video poker machines. She hit a MEGA jackpot on December 17 turning a $5 bet into $1.68 million and subsequently tipped the table dealers $77K, even though it happened on a machine. Several casinos were robbed throughout the USA in the month of December, including two more a few days before Christmas in Las Vegas. Also, the Las Vegas Mirage was sold for $1.075 billion to Hard Rock International in the past year and received approval from the Nevada Gaming Control Board on December 16. There are no plans to close the hotel-casino but they will need a lot of time and money to complete the renovations.

I always wondered if casino would cover players losses if robbery occurred in poker room. I think Beau rivage was robbed earlier this year and thieves took money directly from players.
