A Finnish State owned gaming company called Veikkaus which holds monopoly over all gambling in the country has decided to close down all of its slot machines at least until the end of March.

According to their press release this is done to reduce the risk of spreading the virus, and to safeguard the health of their employees.

Slot machines can be played in most grocery stores, gas stations, kiosks and restaurants, and they offer variety of games from traditional to modern slot games and video poker. There are approximately 15 000 game devices in the country.

Slot machines offer a double whammy in terms of risk of infection, both from coughs and from touching the buttons. It's unfortunate but probably a good decision for short term.

Its not like, playing slot machines are exactly an essential activity either. So a good place to start when one wants to contain a pandemic

in Morocco everything remains open but people stay at home and avoid public places. even without this ban on going out or staying in quarantine. many people start to stock up, but with a minimum death rate of 11.4%. I don't think supply chains are threatening.
