It's tragic event in many ways, suicide is not a solution to anything in this world. It's a shocking news at least and reminder to all to play and gamble responsible, no one should let that poker or any other game affect their lives in any way, i mean any way, from personal emotional life, over family relations, social to something such a dramatic as this news you posted Shells, it's just not worth it, nothing is.
RIP Krunal Mehta.

This is a horrible story. I tried to take my life when I was younger but not over poker. Luckily I was unsuccessful. This makes me sad. That's all I really have to say about it. Too bad he felt that desperate and was in that much pain.

First time ever I ever went to a Casino was on a Casino boat with only a 20$ chip voucher
I turned it to 40 on blackjack exactly in time to enter the 40$ sng NL holdem
only 9 players showed up so it was winner take all.
I placed 2nd and wanted to jump off the boat into the ocean.
The only thing that stopped me was my friend saying "coast guards gonna come and save you and charge you couple thousand dollars if you jump"

I wish everyone would think twice and has a friend to talk them down.
Got money troubles? Got life troubles? Troubles don't disappear if you're dead.
Lifes a troubling journey.
Enjoy your losses as well as your wins and grow from them!
seeya on the tables!

Tragic story. People need to be responsible when playing poker. Never play for money, you can not afford to lose, and never ever play for money, you have borrowed from someone else.

This news is very unfortunate, so we must have concentration and be strong when losing take it as an apprenticeship it is time to see Poker as a sport and not as a simple game where I put my hopes of winning large amounts of money. God give strength to his family and friends and that this serves as a lesson to all poker community we can make a professional career but it will not solve our lives immediately

So sad. As Doyle Brunson has said ... "Buying a new stack of chips should be no more painful to you than buying a hamburger". Never play with money that you can't afford to lose ! Also, suicide is never the answer !

I join the Indian poker community in mourning his death. and send prayers for his family and friends. R.I.P Krunal Mehta
I do not associate poker to suicide or perhaps we might all be gone. it is a mental illness.

That's really sad. You don't expect people to take their lives over poker but I guess it's a different story when you carry all your eggs in one basket. RIP Krunal Mehta

I have never nor would i ever play a game where its winner take all, especially one that normally pays 3 spots per 9 players. 2nd in this game was no different then 9th except you got your hopes up of winning.

The real victims are this mans family if he had any. Sorry for the anguish hes putting them thru for his selfish act!!

It is very sad that his dependence on gambling led to such an end. I'm not so passionate to even spend at least $ 100 on a game. My fear of losing money is more than the urge to win.

This is terrible. When you take your like you takes a part of everyone's heart. It causes so much damage to the ones they leave. Now, If you are gambling that much you need to be prepared to lose that much. I have a hard time buying in to games over$20

Suicide only relieves your pain. It vastly increases the pain of everyone that knew you.

Very sad, R.I.P-
He clearly was addicted. Poker providers should do more to help people like him. Yes you can have a cash-in limit but how does that help addicts? It is like locking alcohol and giving the alcoholic the key.
