So Basically only GG Poker and some unregulated sites left in Russia now. As for GG Poker they likely wont pull out. GG Poker are chinese owned, and China support Russia in the war. I therefore recommend anyone, who dont support Russias war, to stop playing on GG Poker and support either pokerstars or 888 Poker instead.

Now I have read about poker rooms that have stopped or will stop their services for citizens of the Russian Federation from March 18:

• Three iPoker rooms have closed their doors to players from the Russian Federation at once: Guts Poker, William Hill and NetBet
• PokerMatch
• Partypoker
• PokerStars
• 888poker
• GGpoker
• Unibet
• KKpoker

PokerOK (room of GGPoker) has no restrictions yet.
Also, as I understand it, the restriction is not imposed by:
RedStars
PokerKing and other WPN network rooms
TigerGaming and Chico network rooms


Well, it's all very sad, but what is happening in Ukraine is much sadder.

Sport and politics have always been closely linked, especially in totalitarian countries. I believe that the sanctions against russian players and athletes are absolutely correct and I fully support this position.

You can ban a country from hosting an event or ban athletes from representing said country but banning poker players from a certain location because their government is in a war is hitting below the belt imho

Unfortunately, you can't even get to the end of your short post without contradicting/confusing yourself. Apparently it's okay to ban a country or its athletes from taking part in international competition...but not poker players. Where exactly can we extract the logic in that?

I think poker rooms have their reasons for banning Russian players from their tables. But is this the way? Is the Russian people as a whole in favor of this war? What I do know is that I want this war to end as soon as possible, because the Ukrainian people have already suffered too much. Peace on earth.
