Just made a withdrawal from pokerstars and annoyed that the conversion rate from $ to £ is so rubbish (about 1:1.23 v market 1:1.19).

What I have figured out, sadly too late, is that it seems possible to actually convert currencies within poker stars (under manage currencies) before withdrawing and it seems to be at a better rate (1:1.2). I am assuming I could then just take out the £s at no fee.

This only looks to be possible if using one of the other currencies you cam gamble in I.e. £, € and $CAD. Hope this helps someone save some money and I will definitely be giving it a go next time!

Note when you withdraw normally it doesnt actually tell you the rate until toy click withdraw, which is pretty rubbish.

A fee will be charged by PokerStars when a $ withdrawal is made into your local currency (e.g. €). As you mentioned, under Manage Currencies --> Convert Currencies, you can convert amounts of money at the current exchange rate of a currency.

Before making a payout, you should change the desired payout amount from $ to your respective country currency and then select this under Preferred currency.

Otherwise, a margin is usually calculated, which is also due when making a deposit from one currency into the other.

I think many people know this method when withdrawing money to their country's currency. I always read about this situation, first I like to find out everything after acting so as not to find out in such situations
