In September 2017, I was going to withdraw some of my winnings. They told me I had to make a deposit as my Credit Card info was old in order to have a valid Visa on file. I did so with a minimum deposit.

When I tried to withdraw, there was no CC option, so I write Customer service, now they tell me that my Visa does not do credits with gaming sites. I called Visa and they told me that was not true. Again C/S told me that regular reps don't know this citing some rule.

Again I called Visa, read what Stars wrote and they said it was not true. Now they ask me to make an e-check deposit so that they could send money by e-check. I refused citing the previous deposit request and asked that they send me a cheque. They replied they no longer do that.

I asked them to stop giving me the run around as I had a stroke a year ago and am not to have any stress they are giving me. Guess what happened next, I get an e-mail about responsible gaming and that my account has been temporarily suspended.
They sent me some questions to answer and I did so sarcastically.

Next they send me a request to read sections that deal with playing poker responsibly and the terms and conditions. I responded by telling them that those questions have nothing to do with me and that I already agreed to the terms when I joined. I told them to fix that , they need to fire that staff. As they were the ones causing the stress. They also asked me to attach a copy of my driver's license or passport to have my account re instated along with some conditions for my re in-statement to which I responded no way in hell. I now decide to withdraw all my money.

Their response was that I have to answer the questions, I told them to send my Money as well as delete my account with all my personal information. Their response was that the account was deleted and that the information will remain should I want to play there again. My response was to delete my info as I have no intention to ever play there again.

Their response was that their gaming license requires them to keep my info for six years.

I asked my son in law who plays at Stars if he ever withdrew money there and how. He responded on his Credit Card which ironically was with the same bank as mine.

I don't trust the integrity of the organization one bit. Has anyone had a similar experience and if so how did you solve it

As soon as I saw what you wrote to them "I had a stroke a year ago" I knew, that was sadly, end of the story with your account... Never be emotional with support, they will block your account no matter what.
I mean, if people really have problem they should not play this game on the first place, your health should be at first place.

Anyway, as @moots said, which Visa card do you have?

I've had/have similar problem with my bank, unfortunately I live in Serbia and people in our banks are not as smart as they should be when it comes to an "online" questions.
My CC has expired, around a month ago, I was using Visa Electron for years and years, adding and pulling out money from ton of different sites, and last time, they gave me Visa card and as soon as they gave me I knew that this is not the same card, card I was using for years, how have this happen?

They gave me Visa card but the problem is, I can only pay online, I can't pull out money.
Again, not sure how that has even happen, they should just replace same old card with new one like always but, it is what it is.
I need to go tomorrow and see what's going on, replace that card and wait another 10+ days (again).

Mastercards cannot recieve money.

Visa Cards can recieve funds but it must be a minimum of $100 USD.

Some banks will block Visa Cards from gambling activity maybe it is case with yours.

Should be easy to figure out call your bank or help number at back of you card ask them if your Visa Card can recieve funds from merchants and if they have any restrictions on gambling.

I suggest if having problems with card just use a third party for withdrawal. Get an ewallet, link ewallet to card, then link ewallet to Stars.

At mastercards, you can also withdraw funds and this should also be at least $ 100. It mostly depends on your bank, I have never had problems with withdrawal of funds

From pokerstars?

Pokerstars have always told me that I cannot withdraw funds via mastercard. I can only withdraw via Visa.

Maybe it depends on the geographic location if it is allowed in my country

As a fellow Canadian I can tell you that you cannot use a credit card for online gambling. You might find one that works but almost all of them will not. Instead of losing your cool, you should have just chosen a different deposit/withdrawal option. As a Canadian, we have a ton of options at Pokerstars (they are really great for that). You could have chosen echeck (which is the best option), instadebit, entropay or Ecopayz (which are all great options for Canadians and easy to apply for).

Their thread is old, however, now in the year 2021, PokerStar is Stealing money from New Players, since you barely win about $ 100, when you are going to withdraw or transfer them to other players it immediately Freezes your Account preventing you from entering, They ask for many documents and even when you send them to them, they still close your account and retain the funds, PokerStar is a Fraudulent site, I know that many will ignore this comment, but when it happens to them, they must remember that we warned them, get your money fast of PokerStar, otherwise you will regret it.

I use neteller and have no problems either

I congratulate you, but be very careful and PokerStar is not going to close your account, because then you will regret not taking my advice, Withdraw your funds from PokerStar and only keep the minimum that allows you to play, and if you get any profit withdraw it immediately, total You do not earn anything by having that money on PokerStar, as that does not earn you interest, whereas a bank account does.

Hi, why at least 100 USD? I have withdrawn 10 USD and received it successfully.

It's been a while since I've withdrawn any money from poker stars, I think it's been a year.
