Just seen this in my poker stars cashier

From 14th April 2020, all gambling operators in the United Kingdom will stop accepting Credit Card deposits in line with new regulations.
This also includes credit card deposits via eWallets (Apple Pay, NETELLER, PayPal, Skrill, StarsWallet, MuchBetter).

It is increasingly difficult to play poker, and withdraw the benefits, I do not understand why they see poker that way.

I can certainly understand the reasons behind this. gambling with credit is never wise. I just can't understand why they waited this long? Did Brexit give to UK more freedom to decide for themselves?

On the other hand, for those who really have a gambling problem this changes nothing. It only adds steps to move the money.

You can still use the ewallets. You just have to fund with something else than a Credit Card and state that the funds are for gambling purposes.

A work around I see players use is to get a friend from outside UK to accept the payment as gift on one of the ewallets and then they deposit on their account and then transfer it to your pokerstars account. This way you do not have to input for gambling purposes. Of course you will need someone who is trustworthy, there are a lot of scammers out there be cautious.

Best of luck
