Hi I’ve been playing poker for about 1year properly with real money on pokerstars (not consistently) My first spell lasted about 3months were i worked from $10 to $150. Which unfortunately I lost as I decided to go on blackjack and lost it all lol. So I was a bit annoyed but I knew my poker wasn’t the problem it was me going on blackjack like and idiot. From then on I took a break and came back. I deposited $20 and worked it up but just got bored in the end of playing small stakes so I ended up losing that but again it was only a small deposit so I wasn’t that bothered so then I deposited again another $20 and had a couple of bad beats and just really couldn’t be ars*d so I kept tilting and going all in with nothing. 😒 Should I deposit more so I care more about losing my money?? I feel like that’s the problem. Any advice on this would be much help and any advice overall on my poker would be fantastic.

Cheers, George.

Cardschat has too many freerolls to play and make a small bankroll again. You could deposit again, but it is different when you have 20$ from winnings only. Maybe you respect it more and do a better bankroll management!

I don't think depositing more is the answer. For what you say, you should first work to improve your poker mentality to have more discipline to follow a bankroll management. Before make a new deposit you should make a poker plan, decide the tournaments/cash games that you are going to play and how much money you can use per day/week/month.

The deposit is at your free choice.

I would try the following: when you earn a sum greater than your initial deposit go to withdraw the wallet.

Leave a background to stay in the game.

It's very difficult to go back to playing smaller stakes after you've progressed to higher stakes, especially if you lost your bankroll in a heartbreaking manner.

The question here is, are you playing for a lot of money or are you playing for fun? In Poker to become profitable you need to study the game a lot to be able to apply the best techniques, I already use poker as a hobby, and even so, I study to not be too angry hahaha

I understand you,I was in the same situation.. I think you should try to play just freerolls and earn some money from them, maybe it's strange but money witch I win from freerolls I respect more and I play much better then

I think you need to improve your poker first. You need to study poker theory, understand the structure of the kind of game you play. I believe you lost not because of bad beats but mostly your play was not correct. And you should manage your bankroll, it's very very important if you don't want to lose a lot of money. Just go to a higher stake if you have enough bankroll and have confidence with your skills.

Well

Maybe you should try to create the idea in your head that any sum (the same $ 20) is the TIME that you spent? Perhaps time will be a more valuable resource for you.

You should focus on your bankroll management. You should always have at least 35 and better 50 buyins at the level where you play so with 20$ you should play only 0.55$ MTTs (if you play MTT). When you have bankroll of around 50$ and you are doing well on 0.55$ you can switch to next level like 1.10$ for example. It requires patience but guarantees that your game will be much more resistant to downswings.

It is best to block the casino on pokerstars. Then you can only play poker with the money.

I have also often made mistakes with bj. It has been going well since the blockade.

Take poker seriously and it will respond in kind.

You can make a Deposit hundreds of times, but until you take the money in your account more seriously, it will probably not end well.

Get your priorities right, set your poker goals, and start achieving them.:)

To be honest, I tried various options for the game. For example, I even used the reviewer alone, a good website with normal reviews and tips, and nice bonuses, but the problem is in me. I sometimes win well, but often it all seems to me somehow, $ 20 - it doesn’t matter, but what will happen next? 100 is nonsense too?

Hmm, then maybe the problem is just your pleasure in the game. You do not value either time or yourself. And as I understand it, you don’t get any pleasure strong. Try to set goals, make a plan, maximize your winnings, and stick to this plan. Perhaps this will help you.

The answer is bankroll management. The question is do you succeed? My answer is no!

Hey.
I played for a very long time without a deposit and spent a lot of time creating my initial bankroll. In my opinion, after the experience, the best option is to make a regular deposit of $ 200 +, then, in addition to the bankroll, you are also responsible for your game and save time (which is 1-2 years. Or even more). And if you make deposits in the amount of 5-20 dollars, these are actions leading to the loss of these deposits due to a long-term increase and the possibility of losing this money in other casino games.
But this advice is only valid if you have the necessary knowledge and experience for a positive poker game.

$20))) I think the best Deposit is $250. $20 is funny, a really good Deposit is from $100. If you Deposit $20, you'll still be on the bench.

That often happens to me ahah. But there was a big change when I managed to withdraw 10usd or 20usd from my bank account. That made my game improve since before I saw it as something normal to have those USD and that if I lost them, it did not change me much. But when withdrawing little by little and throughout the month to see the growth of the bank account, it was very nice ahah. I recommend that you put 20usd, and gradually withdraw without losing everything and your game will change.

The first thing you need to keep in mind is that poker is also a form of fun, not just a job; consider that not everyone is a winner.

If you are having fun and are not betting the necessary money for yourself or your family, there is no problem depositing, if no one deposit, there would be no poker rooms. We spend money to have fun with movies, video games, streaming, beer and etc., why wouldn't it be normal to spend on poker?

Study more and train your game, if you intend to be a profitable player, try hard and deposit a bankroll according to your conditions, but that's 100 or 200 buying, you may need a good coach or be part of a team, with more responsibility and getting involved with people in the field, your game will improve, but in some cases it stops being a fun pastime.

I will assume that 20 is not the rent money. So 20 gets you hours or even days of enjoyment with the possibility of get more money. And going out for the evening runs about 200 for a few hours of enjoyment. My thought, as long as you stay with 20 and not the rent money you are fine. Enjoy and try to do better each time.

My advice is very simple. Try to build your bankroll by playing freerolls. If you can't build a bankroll by playing in freerolls, then you better find another hobby.

Apart from playing blackjack "like an idiot", your problem clearly here is the bankroll management. Educate yourself on proper bankroll management (BRM) and stick to it NO MATTER WHAT. As long as you stick to it, you can reward yourself with the progress you see :)
