Some newsstands offer deposits and withdrawals through the PIX system, for those who do not know the PIX, it is an invention of the Central Bank of brazil, where it is possible to send and receive money in real time, via cell phone. Keys are personal and can be people's ID number, phone number and email. The transaction per PIX is instantaneous and no fee is charged.
pokerstars works with PIX.

I think this was created during the most dangerous period of the pandemics. It was a tool for people not get very close of others, e.g, when we do have to pass our debit or credit card we should approach the machine and/or the person holding it.
It is a very good system too because as you said, it’s free of taxes and fees. (Nonetheless, I’m afraid this reality is about to change, there are some rumors around)

Certainly, they must want to tax the PIX in the future, but it has already surpassed bank transfer services in any country, in the PIX agent can pay and receive in real time, I myself was a little apprehensive at first and today I have 4 PIX keys, one is my cell phone, one is my ID, and the other two are my email accounts.
