Mysterious deposit on my pokerstars account - Cardschat $25 free

I just signed up for pokerstars the other day, and deposited $50 by echeck. That payment was cleared by my bank and shows up on my online banking statement. Then, a couple days later, a mysterious "credit deposit" showed up on my account, for an additional $25. I don't know where this money came from. I can't even make a credit deposit, because the credit banks dont allow gaming sites. And I've only earned 200 fpp, so it's not a deposit bonus or anything.

So where did this money come from? Is it possible it was sent to me by another player? How would that show up on my account history?

Another player did say he sent me "a bone" (long story), which I thought meant a dollar. Never got that dollar, but I wouldn't expect it to show up as a "credit deposit", anyways.

If anybody transfers you money you'll get an email stating who you got it from.

The credit deposit is something they gave you. Usually a bonus, like what Nick described.
Last Thanksgiving weekend I was signed up for something that automatically signed me up for some additional "earn 50 FPP's and get $10 this weekend" bonus that I didn't know about. So I had the same questions when the "credit deposit" showed up in my account. I was afraid that they charged me, but emailed support@pokerstars.com and they explained the bonus to me.

Thanks, some nice people I had been playing with all night invited me to play $2 bingo. With a $50 bankroll, I knew it was a stupid idea. I declined, but sat down at the table with $40 to temporarily hold the seat. Decided to play a few hands till I win one... statistically I should win one out of six (six-handed). I played 20 hands in a row without a win! I should have gotten up before I went broke, but I knew I HAD to catch a break the next hand, right? WRONG!

They all felt bad, one of them may have sent me the money. I unfortunately didn't find this sit until after I deposited, so I didn't use a cardschat promo code. I signed up with the promo I found on another site, which promised a 200% deposit bonus instead of 100%. Well I don't know when/if that shows up, but my bonus status shows a regular 100% due

Strangely enough i recieved a similar $25 credit on my account a few weeks ago with no explaination as to where it came from,i was worried about asking as i was afraid they would say ot was a mistake and ask for it back,i didnt pass any remarks but expected it to be deducted from my next deposit,but so far i havent had anything deducted so im assuming it was some kind of bonus i wasnt aware of,it was before i signed up to cc so it wasnt a cc bonus...

I found out what it was... it was indeed a deposit bonus from the promo I signed up using. I got $25 after 100fpp, and another $25 after 500. Making it a total of a $100 bonus for a $50 deposit. Not bad at all!

This has nothing to do with a bonus, but one day $5 appeared in my PokerStars account for no reason. I'm still curious about it til this day.

heard this several times DJ. apparently pokerstars gives away $5 to players who haven't deposited to get them hooked, anything left? Cardschat has good freerolls to get you started. Won $7 first one, most I'd ever made at Pokerstars was 5.50.

yes indeed ive gotten the free 5 also and turned the 5 into 200 and cashed out.
