Holy cow folks ... chill. :) I'm back after having a good nights sleep and watching golf most of the day, I'm ready to get back into the discussion.Just to make myself perfectly clear, I am admittedly the least knowledgeable person in this thread as it relates to crypto currency. However, I speculate that cybermoney is the way of the future. Which currency will thrive and survive (or has even entered the scene) is the only question.

I'll continue my quest and thank you for your input.
Now, here is another question. I'll start with the confession that I am a "donk". I can prove that by stating that I very seldom win on online sites. And I never win more than I deposit in any given stretch. Not proud, just fact. I play in live games here in Houston and after years have come to the conclusion that we just trade money one hot or river beat after another.
So, my question now is, where is the best place to play online?
........... thanks in advance
I think ACR is the best place for players in the USA especially players who like to play tournaments. ACR has large guaranteed tournaments every day. Payouts are pretty fast usually next day via crypto. Deposit options are visa (some work not all) Western Union ( I think they refund your Western Union fee as long as you enter the mtcn on ACR site online) Moneygram, crypto I think Western Union or Money Gram are best deposit options if your Visa does not work. They have withdrawal by check and 60 something different cryptocurrencies as well as a few other options. I like check or crypto but crypto is fast.

There have been some accusations of bots and cheating through collusion recently and accusations ACR is not doing enough to combat it. But i don't know what ACR is doing to combat those issues which happen on every site. I like playing tournaments and it is much harder for colluders to affect me in tournaments and I enjoy tournaments more in general.

I couldn't agree with you more. I have used Coinbase and went through there verification process so that I was able to have my money sent to my bank like I wanted in the first place. Coinbase as done nothing but good for me and highly recommend it. I also agree that they do charge duplicate fees but its minor if you look at the big picture and the fees are quite small. It's much better than taking a foreign check that took weeks to get to you (sometimes days) and have a bank stare at you like, "where did this come from??" So anyone who is looking for a wallet, Coinbase is great, you can transfer it to other trading sites where you can use alt coins but it's great for my needs and interest.

LOL, Exactly how do you think a financial institution would get your money into your bank without knowing where to send it? Here is a list of licenses state by state Coinbase has to transmit money https://www.coinbase.com/legal/licenses?locale=en-US Coinbase made over 1 billion in revenue last year, so I guess there are a lot of people who are "out of there mind" huh?
True PayPal is currently broken on site, PayPal does not even deal with most people in crypto business. I used PayPal cashout when it was working and although relatively expensive it was instant and I look forward to them fixing whatever issue they have.
When you Cash out by ACH transfer to your bank
(which is a standard procedure in the U.S. to transfer money to your bank) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automated_Clearing_House Coinbase says it will take 3-5 days although it took 1 day for my last one and it took 3 days on the one before that.
The only other issues I have had with Coinbase is their payment processor for credit/debit
purchases had some kind technical issue and was double billing a large number of transactions me included but they worked that out and I have been credited back https://blog.coinbase.com/joint-statement-from-visa-and-worldpay-for-coinbase-customers-9a6f2ff5f3b3 This was one of the issues that made me want to use other means of deposit and only use crypto for withdrawal.
The other issue I had with Coinbase was the limits on deposit by debit/credit card but for me that has also been sorted out.... A little late as I don't use them for that anymore.
Cryptocurrency is a fairly new business and a company in a fairly new business is going to have challenges and problems at some point guaranteed, but they seem to be managing to work through all that pretty successfully.

To sum up Coinbase is a licensed business that does business with banks who allow crypto purchases via debit/credit and had revenue of over 1billion last year and has had... I don't know how many successful buy and sell transactions with the public. Coinbase does their business in public and has offices on U.S. soil.

ACR

hey smallfrie,Thanks. I noticed that ACR was your favorite, and on that recomendation I uploaded the software.
Haaaaahaha ... I am an avid Mac user. And I have obviously had an account on that site in the past. Had to have years and many email changes ago. SOS ... my old email no longer exist. Cannot sign to old account and cannot set up new one while an old one is on record ..... Conundrum ..... After 30 min chat with illiterate Costa Rican .... they will get back to me.
Back to ignition for my "fix".
I prefer tournaments too, as the return is greater. I do better in Sit and Go or cash.
Cheers,
mitch

Bitcoin is the nutz! There are videos on YouTube explaining how to send/receive bitcoin to/from gambling sites to/from your bank account. However you must use a buffer/middle/personal wallet between the site and your account. Personally, I use a Visa BitPay Card to load my funds from my personal wallet (Electrum) once received from Carbon poker. Card can be used the same as any debit card.

Bread wallet
Well I tried using bread wallet and it took my money then would not show my balance until I verified my identity. After being verified money still never showed. It took me three weeks of harassing them for them to finally refund my credit card

Getting into crypto currencies seems like a real adventure. I'll take a gamble, why not since that's what I'm here for, but I'm not putting more in than a minimum stake. ACR seems to be the place to go and I'll be asking their support staff for pointers on how to best use crypto currency for their site as well as their recommendations for online wallets.

Mitch, anyone would have to be totally out of their mind to deal with Coinbase. I've been there and done that. I recieved a 600 dollar payout from Ignition through Bitcoin to my Coinbase wallet. I got it into my wallet with no way of getting it out. I eventually went to overstock and bought something with it, as they take bitcoin for payment. Here is a link to coinbase reviews just to give you a little hint of what this scam operation does to people. https://www.trustpilot.com/review/coinbase.com Pay pal doesn't work there, and to have any hope of cashing out your money you have to first verify your identity, and then give them all of your bank account info, lol. Hmm, what could go wrong right. They have stole millions from people. I have read of many instances of them draining people's accounts dry, and people waiting months to get their money if they end up getting it at all. Very scary outfit. I'm willing to bet they're operating on borrowed time.

Hhhhmmm? Maybe You read the terms and conditions and applicable laws before You do stuff online ?

Coinbase is required by law to verify your identity to prevent money laundring as the service that coinbase offers makes them a "bank" in most legislations...
They have not stolen millioins from people... They only freeze peoples money if the funds are coming from illegal sources...

paypal doesnt work there? Well, go and read Paypals terms. Paypal doesnt allow to use its service for the purchase of cryptos... So coinbase not offering paypal anymore actually just protects You from getting your paypal account frozen...

Please don't call sites a scam just because they wont let You breach the UIGEA...

BITCOIN!

Hey,

Im interested in learning where you all buy bitcoin, have you found a place with the best market prices?

Also, if you have then withdrawn from a poker site, Id like to know the best way to redeem or "sell" the bitcoin back into USD.

Any insight would help!

So I have been reading through all the info provided regarding crypto wallets. It looks like the ones that are the most popular are Blockchain, Electrum and Bitpay. Are these all available to people in the US?

Yeah you are going to need coinbase to buy and cash out, just make sure you don't send the bitcoin directly from coinbase to a poker site, first send it to a wallet like electrum or blockchain and then from there send it on to the poker site and for cashouts the same in reverse send cashout from pokersite to a wallet like electrum or blockchain then from their to coinbase.
Yesterday I did my first ever crypto transaction and did a test withdrawal from ACR directly to my coinbase acct. Should I cancel it now? If I'm reading what you say correctly I dont want to do that right?

Transactions directly to Coinbase from ACR will result in Coinbase banning you from using their service, You need to send your withdrawal to a wallet then send it to Coinbase.

Bitcoin Cash Issues with Ignition Casino

I made a bitcoin cash deposit at Ignition Casino on 12/2/18. I used the UR Scan code displayed on their website to process the deposit. The funds were confirmed but did not show up when I logged in to Ignition. I called and they requested I send the blockchain info, which I did (screenshot). They assured me with this information they would transfer the funds to my account. I spoke with them again on 12/11, 12/16, 12/31 and today...still NOTHING! One of the accounting members told me the issue is I transferred it in Bitcoin Cash instead of Bitcoin Core, but assured me they would "convert" it and fund my account....still nothing. Anyone else have this issue? Any suggestions on what I can do to correct this? I've requested they send it back so I could deposit using Bitcoin Core..but, of course, that hasn't happened either!
