Agreed.
I understand the benefit of the software programs. But I feel it takes from the authenticity of game of "Poker". Hustlers hustling other hustlers.
Instead of learning your opponent, they rely on the computer to feed them info that used to be gained by sitting at a table and playing against another human.
This does make online an entirely new type of play.
I do prefer live games. The chit chat and actually getting to know the players as humans. Online seams like the most anyone ever says to each other is how stupid their call was or that they are an idiot for calling all in with AK against the smart-ass that had pocket AA.
One thing I do like about online is that the hands are dealt out much faster.

#1 is SUPER USERS for me.The collective amnesia of the online poker world grinds my gears, its like everybody just forgot about pot ripper and his gang and that the biggest sites in the world were cheating, got caught and got closed down. It's not variance if your opponent can see your cards! The super users are way more prevalent than anybody lets on and if you talk about these facts you get accused of being a losing player which I'm clearly not. No way has this gone away they just got better at evading detection. I've been told I'm entitled to my opinion so many times, how is a FACT an opinion? An opinion is say, the big bang theory tha'ts an opinion but this happened and is documented, potripper wasnt even punished they just said he left!!! Good luck to everybody at Cardschat at wsop I'm playing sat for just $1 what a dream! Just trying to qualify is the best feeling ever, I made it into the gg masters last year by sat but didn't make the money, lost my head haha

That I know VOLUME is super important in order to get over variance and to get better faster. (see results, fix leaks etc)
My Career does get most of my time and my schedule is often very low (1/3 mtt per day usually) to get myself really into it.
The time I took vacations to play, I did play for a week until I felt extremely tired after. Which tells that I am not completely fit for the long online mtt plays.
Frustrating...

It is not very clear what the author meant: what is good in online poker or vice versa, compared to live.
Well, let's look at it from two sides: if we are looking for the advantages of online poker, then there are quite a lot of them:
1. This is comfort. You can get comfortable and play wherever you like.
2. You can play dressed in anything, even in pajamas.
3. There is no abuse in communication. And if it does appear, then you can disable the chat.
4. You can play at any time, at any time of the day, and the variety of games also creates a pleasant atmosphere.

1. This is an incredible palette of emotions that cannot be found in poker rooms.
2. This is an opportunity to see your opponents.
3. This is a game in your favorite places (casinos, etc.).

There are no conversations in online poker, it is impossible to see the gestures, the emotions of the opponent! No exciting trips somewhere for the sake of the game!

The slowwwwww ride into the money
I most often despise the focus on how many people are left until you're in the money. Making everyone use up all their wait time therefore slowing down the whole game. For some reason I dont think that would be so common in live poker. I may be wrong though.

That happens at most free online poker site. The closer you get to the money the slower the small chipstacks play. O well com-se com-sa LOL

I have played on BCP and ACR, and it seems that you cant beat the computer. Ive had the best hand up to the turn and the one player has a one card outer guess what happens Bingo there it is. I have played 25 free tournaments and I get close to the money then then DEAD cards and get antied out. This was at Black chip poker today 01-23-2022

Up until last year I would have come up with many frustrations. Now that I see poker as a practice for my own personal life I changed my mind about it entirely. I have no frustrations. It gives me the chance to improve. With each mistake there is information I can learn from.
