I believe most poker sites are very fine but the odd ones try and goad you in with the feeling you can`t possibly lose the hand. I have seen 4 of a kind after 4 of a kind, flushes made on the river beating the two pair and the straight. I don`t know if I am playing too much poker or not. Am I losing it ?

I agree, even if you play live at a casino it is really great to be able to fire up the computer at home and play different sites, different player pools, etc.. Sure it is not perfect but I am happy I get to play a game that I really enjoy. I can play the game in my boxers if I want to

I love cash games because you can jump in instantly, and leave when you feel like, unfortunately the rake is high

I love the anonymity of online poker. I don't think I'd be too good at face to face poker. I used to play it pre online days, until someone said that they could see the cards reflected in my glasses.

Also, because I have a vision problem, I would not be able to see the cards properly on a regulation poker table.

Not needing a "poker face" - literally! - I don't have to worry about people reading my reactions, good or bad. The only way to read me is through my betting. Also I can celebrate without worrying about etiquette on the rare occasions when I win

imho, its much easier for newbies to start playin poker. While u playin from ur home u stress much less compared to irl poker.
